Natural remedy for angina
Angina is an infection of viral or bacterial origin that attacks the tonsils. Depending on its appearance, we speak of red or white angina. In the case of a viral infection (around 80% of cases), our grandmothers recommend some remedies to relieve the sometimes very painful symptoms.
1- Propolis
Extracted from bud resins by bees, propolis contains many antimicrobial agents effective against angina. Chew pure propolis to soothe throat irritation. You can get it in organic stores in the form of strips to cut into pieces.
2- Lemon and honey gargle
You can also gargle with a mixture of lemon juice (1 tbsp.), honey (1 tbsp.) and 200 ml of hot water.
3- Thyme herbal tea
Our grandmothers used herbal teas with anti-infectious components to treat angina. Among these, thyme herbal tea is particularly interesting: you just need to pour 1 tbsp. teaspoon of dried thyme in 150 ml of boiling water. Cover the solution and let it infuse for ten minutes, then filter it. You can drink three cups a day outside of meals to soothe inflammation of the throat or tonsils.
4- The infusion of thyme, lemon and ginger is also a good remedy: infuse a little thyme in boiling water, then add honey and lemon. Then mix this mixture with fresh (or candied) ginger. Filter the preparation before drinking it hot
