That picture brings up memories. My late husband had an Austin 7 when I first started going out with him. His had the windscreen that you could open. His brother also had the model with the fixed window. When the hood was put up it leaked so we always had to wear raincoats when it rained. We were sitting in that car when my husband proposed to me.
My husband eventually sold it to buy my engagement ring.

My first car was a three-wheel car in which I learned to drive. It was quite low on the road and had no top. The only trouble was that my husband had just sold his car so was using it all the time to go to work and I had only weekends to use it. The petrol gauge did not work and I was driving with my husband to his mother's house. We had this very long hill to climb and the car ran out of petrol. My husband insisted that I had done something to cause the car to stop and would not accept that it was out of petrol. We walked the rest of the way up the hill and then he went to rescue the car. When he eventually returned he had to admit that it was OK but had run out of petrol.
