Mum’s GENIUS ‘poop’ cake hack to celebrate son being toilet trained

One of the best things about the internet is that you never know what you might stumble across next!. It’s incredibly amusing to see what people from all over the world can come up with! Who would’ve thought someone could make a normally disgusting concept…appetizing?

Tamara thought of a crazy but delicious incentive for her four year old son, Jack, after toilet training has stagnated.

"It feels like we have been toilet training our son Jack for far too long…" Tamara told Yahoo Lifestyle. "Nappies are expensive and whilst we didn't want to push too hard to make him use the toilet we encouraged at every moment. It just seemed he would do it when he was ready.”

The mum shared one of her latest bribes on a Facebook post and we got to say, she’s a genius!

"I had promised to make my son a poop cake when he mastered pooping on the toilet! Yipppeee so proud of him. Made with 1x Woolworths white chocolate mud cake and 1x caramel mud cake," she wrote in her post.

Tamara shared that Jack absolutely loved the idea and often talked about it. His sister, Katie who is seven years young, was also excited about the peculiar treat! And so, she started looking up on ideas to assist her in pulling this off perfectly.

"He must have thought about this cake for a week or so and often talked about it. Then the moment came and Jack decided himself it was time," Tamara told us

“I get my poop cake now!” Jack excitedly declared.

To save some time, Tamara bought two Woolworths mud cakes, then she proceeded to make a milk chocolate ganache to serve as the cake’s frosting.

"Whilst it took a few hours to make that night, with a wine or two, the morning cake reveal was the best," Tamara recalled. "Jack giggled so much and Katie said it 'looked amazing and just like poop!' She also told her brother how proud she was of him.

"The cake actually tasted pretty delicious. Maybe I should have suggested it much earlier," she added.

Meanwhile, fellow mum’s from the
Woolies/Coles Mudcake Hacks Facebook group loved the idea and shared their positive comments on it.

"Omg the pre iced poop looks so real. I 100% would have served that to my child LMAO," one user commented.

"Well, I was on the picture before any icing and my two year old looked over and said 'eew poop'! So I think you've done well even without decorating," another wrote.

Did you know people are also making this in cupcake form? Watch below!

Oh dear what a shame we live in a world that celebrates a child's toilet training at age 4 and a cake!!! Don't post this rubbish, get on with your life and look after our grandchildren , our future , and especially .... the heroes of tomorrow!

Freud would have had something to say about this! And the comment would have been about the mother, not the child! 😉

I thought this was genius. When my youngest son turned 21 he had an offensive bad/taste themed party so I made a toilet cake complete with Pee (yellow jelly), Poop (brown icing) a plastic cockroach crawling out of the bowl and a plastic fly sitting on the rim. Party attendees thought it was brilliant but not one of them were game enough to try a piece LOL.
