The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise visit to the Texas school shooting memorial, where she was spotted laying down flowers.
She was photographed placing a bouquet of white roses outside the Uvalde County Courthouse, which is only a few metres away from Robb Elementary School.
On Tuesday, 19 children and two teachers were murdered by an 18 year old gunman, Salvador Ramos in a mass shooting. The killer shot his grandmother, sent a series of text messages to a teen girl he met online about his plans, and crashed his car near the campus before proceeding with the gut-wrenching massacre.
The roses were delicately wrapped with a purple ribbon and placed down by a cross made for one of the victims, Uziyah Garcia (10 years old), reading: “You will be missed”.

Meghan was dressed casually in denim jeans, white sneakers, a basic shirt, and a cap. She was also seen wearing Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Watch.
A spokesperson for the Duchess explained that Meghan took the visit in a “personal capacity as a mother, to offer condolences and support in-person to a community experiencing unimaginable grief”.
It would take about three hours to fly from Meghan’s home in Montecito, California to Uvalde, Texas. Along with her bodyguard on standby, Meghan paid her respects by the crosses erected to commemorate the Uvalde shooting victims.

Meghan’s unexpected appearance followed in the wake of her father’s recent health concerns. Thomas Markle Sr had a health emergency in Mexico and needed to be taken across the border to San Diego in an ambulance while using an oxygen mask.
This incident resulted in him losing his speech completely on Monday night, which came after having already suffered a health scare last week. His condition was so severe that he can only communicate by writing messages on a piece of paper.
Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess along with their two children are preparing to fly back to the UK for the first time as a family to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
This upcoming trip will be the first time that the rest of the royal family will get to meet their 11-month old daughter, Lilibet.
