Meal prep queen reveals her BRILLIANT hack to peeling hard-boiled eggs effortlessly with a common household item – “You’re my hero!”

With the endless supply of cooking hacks circulating across the internet, someone MUST have already figured out a hassle-free way to peel hard-boiled eggs, right? Because trying to peel several at a time can be one of (if not the most) tedious tasks in the kitchen. Absolutely no one has time for that!

Luckily, one Aussie mum showed us how it’s done. And the even better news is that all this hack requires is a few seconds of your time and one common household item – a storage container filled with water.

School teacher Katie Lolas, took to Instagram on Tuesday to show off her ‘egg hack’ which guarantees perfectly peeled eggs every single time. This is a tried-and-tested way to peel several eggs at once without accidentally ripping large ‘chunks’ off of them.

Katie, who is better known as 'Lady Lolas' online, demonstrated the trick in a brief Instagram video.

“It's super easy. All you have to do is add the eggs you want to be peeled inside of a container. Then, add a bit of water and shake them around for a few seconds or until the egg shells crack,” she instructed her viewers.

“You'll be able to remove the shells seamlessly without losing chunks off your whites. See, I told you it was easy!”

The clip amassed hundreds of comments from users who were keen to give her hack a shot.

“Great idea! I normally crack [the hard-boiled eggs] on my bench and then peel them while they are submerged in water.” one woman wrote.

“I can't wait to try this! If it really works, you are my hero.” gushed another.

“There’s nothing worse than rush peeling eggs haha! You basically just end up with the yolk... I will try this!!!” commented a third, alongside several laughing emojis.

“Where was this all my life? Perfectly peeled eggs from now on.” added one more.

This isn’t the first time Katie stole the limelight with a handy kitchen hack. Previously, she left thousands stunned with a genius method for peeling a whole bulb of garlic in the blink of an eye. She also advised others on how to properly store their produce to keep them fresh for longer.

And if you’re a self-proclaimed fan of chilli, then you’re going to love a recent tutorial of hers about how to deseed chilli with little to no effort.

“Want to take out chilli seeds? Here’s a quick and easy way of de-seeding,” she captioned her post.

The meal prep queen simply takes a piece of chilli and rolls it several times between her hands to ‘loosen’ the seeds. She slices the top of the chilli off, flips it over, and taps it gently on her chopping board until the seeds stop falling out.

And that’s it! The mum proceeds by chopping the chilli into pieces, showing off how effective her method is as there were no seeds left in sight. Pretty cool, eh?

“Wow! Thank you for this amazing tip. Don't forget to wash your hands before touching your face!” warned one user.

“And do NOT rub your eye!” another chimed.

“Omg, I have been cutting chillies the wrong way all these years!! Thank you.” said another.

So nothing new on either account! Put a slice of lemon in pot when you cook your eggs , super easy to peel

All my life, since I can remember, my mum taught us to peel hard boiled eggs in or under cold water. This is nothing new for me 🤷🏻‍♀️🤨
