Maths Kits

These colourful maths kits bring back memories of school days in the early 70s! These wooden blocks, with their different colours and sizes, were a hands-on way to introduce young minds to maths concepts—no calculators needed. They made learning maths a bit more fun, and for some, it was a real brain workout!

We called them ‘questionnaires’ . Not positive on spelling but sounds right. It was after all 60 years ago!

I loved using Cuisenaire rods at primary school. I bought myself a small set a few years back so I could relive my early school days.

I remember using these - it is how we learned to add up, subtract, multiply and divide. Would you believe I still have my set that my parents bought to help with homework. They were a great simple tool to help you learn maths in primary school. Maybe they should be re-introduced and then the numeracy issues of today maybe fixed a bit.

Might even help some of today's shop assistants.
