Man of the Year! Aussie man helps pregnant Tinder date give birth

In what appears to be some kind of modern love story founded on the popular dating app Tinder, one Aussie man was hailed on the internet as “man of the year” for supporting his Tinder date when she gave birth on their fourth date.

“I wanted them to know what they were getting into right off the bat.”
Usually, such a disclaimer would turn Silvy off, but something about Alyssa just caught his eye. So, they went on a few dates together and the pair immediately hit it off.
However, since Silvy travels a lot for work, the two had only gone on three dates before the 25-year-old civil servant had to leave again for another work trip.
The pair had planned that their fourth date was supposed to be on the day that Silvy gets back, however, the unexpected happened.
When Alyssa was on her way to pick Silvy up from the airport, her water broke.
Silvy ended up getting a taxi from the airport straight to the hospital where Alyssa was staying and stayed by her side to support her throughout the entire labour.
“My mum was also there supporting me, but she had a holiday, so she was here and there. Max was there for me through the whole labour and birth,” said Alyssa.
Her labour ended up lasting an entire week, and the entire time, Silvy never left her and her baby’s side. He even took some time off work to help Alyssa get back on her feet and to give a pair of helping hands in taking care of her newborn, baby Ollie.
According to Alyssa, the two have always known that they liked each other very much, but her childbirth was the “peaking point of their relationship”.

While their “fourth date” experience went out entirely differently, Silvy wouldn’t have it any other way.
“There were so many unknowns, so many things that I didn’t know about becoming a dad,” he said, adding that he still has to go through a lot of learnings on his way to becoming a great dad. He is also extremely grateful that he is bonding quite well with baby Ollie, whom he considers now his own child.
The couple’s story has touched many people on social media, particularly on TikTok where plenty of users praised Silvy for being a wonderful new dad. As of today, the two of them are making plans to move in together in the near future.
