There’s a new kitchen gadget causing a stir online—and it’s tiny, affordable, and shockingly practical.

Seniors in particular are finding it hard to resist.

Could this $14.99 ALDI find be the easiest way to enjoy fresh juice at home?

ALDI has launched a compact manual juicer that promises fresh juice without the noise, bulk, or faff of electric machines.

The gadget, available this Wednesday, 17 September, comes in blue and green and has already sparked excitement on social media.

'I have not been able to get these freaking juicers out of my head for weeks.'

Unlike electric juicers, this manual version required no power and made minimal mess, appealing to practical shoppers and those with smaller kitchens.

Its compact design meant it could easily fit in a cupboard, caravan, or holiday home without taking over the bench.

Manual juicers are growing in popularity

Manual juicers have seen a surge in popularity as people discovered the satisfaction of producing fresh juice using just elbow grease.

They were silent, easy to clean, and gave users full control over their juicing process—a stark contrast to electric models that were often bulky, noisy, and complicated to maintain.

ALDI Special Buys make it irresistible

ALDI Special Buys were a draw for shoppers keen on both practicality and bargains.

While the store offered large-ticket items like trampolines and sewing machines on these days, smaller kitchen gadgets often proved the most popular.

Fresh juice benefits for seniors

Higher vitamin absorption than store-bought juice

No added preservatives or artificial ingredients

Easy way to increase daily fruit and vegetable intake

Can help with hydration, especially important as we age

Customisable to personal taste preferences and dietary needs

Fresh juice provided seniors with essential nutrients that might otherwise be harder to absorb from whole fruits and vegetables.

Making juice at home also meant no hidden sugars or preservatives, giving peace of mind and a sense of accomplishment.

Manual juicing offered a gentle workout for the hands and arms, helping maintain dexterity and strength in a simple, enjoyable way.

Manual vs electric juicers

Choosing between manual and electric juicers came down to lifestyle.

Electric models could process large quantities quickly, but they often frustrated seniors with noise, space requirements, and complex cleaning.

Manual juicers had few parts, were nearly indestructible, portable, and offered precise control over each squeeze.

Getting the most from your ALDI shopping trip

  • Arrive early: Special Buys were first-come, first-served

  • Check the catalogue online beforehand to plan your visit

  • Bring a trolley—you might spot other bargains while you’re there

  • Consider buying extras as gifts if the price was right

  • Don’t forget to check the return policy for Special Buys items

Best fruits and vegetables for manual juicing

Certain fruits and vegetables were ideal for manual juicing, including citrus like oranges, lemons, and limes, as well as soft fruits like grapes and berries.

Even pomegranates and celery worked well, with carrot juice providing beta-carotene for eye health.

The ability to experiment with flavours made the process both fun and health-conscious.

Savvy shoppers knew to monitor the Aldi catalogue and plan visits for Special Buys days, arriving early to secure popular items.

Wednesday launches tended to be quieter than Saturdays, but the most sought-after items could still disappear fast, so a phone call to confirm stock was a smart move.

The $14.99 price tag made this juicer a bargain, even for occasional use, and it offered a conversation starter for guests intrigued by the simple, efficient design.

Unlike many gimmicky kitchen gadgets, it delivered on its promise with minimal fuss.

Whether the goal was increasing fruit intake, reducing food waste, or enjoying a hands-on kitchen activity, this manual juicer provided value and satisfaction.

What This Means For You

ALDI has launched a $14.99 manual juicer available in blue and green, offering a compact and practical solution for anyone looking to enjoy fresh juice at home.

Manual juicers are quiet, portable, easy to clean, and even provide gentle arm exercise, making them ideal for daily use without taking over your kitchen.

Freshly made juice delivers higher nutrient absorption, helps with hydration, and contains no added preservatives, giving peace of mind about what’s going into your glass.

Savvy shoppers know that planning ahead, arriving early, and checking ALDI catalogues are key to securing popular Special Buys like this juicer.

For those looking to make mornings easier, healthier, and more enjoyable, this little gadget is a simple yet effective addition to the kitchen.

I purchased one of these juicers just yesterday, tried it this morning, I must have got a Friday mode, because it is off centre and near impossible to get everything lined up correctly. I can see how to fix it ( I think) but is that my job. The pressing down part is off centre to the cup..

I had a similar (and much more expensive!) juicer for many years, and it was magic to use. Unfortunately I lost it in one of our house shifts - I suspect Himself either gave it to the op shop or put it out in the declutter auction of our last house move.

Hope Aldi gets any issues described by member Marwill above, because when they work, they work well.

Consider buying extras as gifts if the price was right. This the reason why most people can't purchase because of greed?

Items listed as special buys some shops don't get many in so they run out quickly.
You can be at a store at opening time the first day and miss out

I returned the Juicer, it was useless.. it had been put together skew wiff and the centre shaft was bent
