The clip prompted a Kmart employee to reveal that price reductions are implemented every Monday.

The worker suggested: 'As a Kmart employee - markdowns are done on Mondays, so that’s the best time to get a bargain!'

The team member continued, explaining that while she worked in South Australia, she thought it was the same schedule for all of the stores across the country.

'I would assume it’s the same as they will go on clearance on the website at the same time,' she added.

Another TikTok user, who claimed to be a Kmart worker, backed the claim, writing: 'I also work at Kmart - and trust me, this is 100 per cent true.'

Jessica agreed, sharing that she actually found the marked-down items during her shopping trip to her local store on Monday.

She said: 'Hit up Kmart, the sales were incredible yesterday (Monday).'

'I highly recommend going. The things I found were insane, I’m obsessed.'

My daughter went to kmart yesterday and asked to be directed to the Clearance rack and they had no idea what she was talking about, they then told her they don't have any certain day that they mark down items.

Markdowns happen when an item is no longer available, soiled items or where packaging is broken.

They do have racks of clothing reduced at the end of season.

If you go on line there are 100s of reduced items but when you go to checkout not much is available that is in your cart either by delivery or click n collect.

I wished that kmart would update their website clearance items as there is nothing more frustrating than spending time adding items to your cart then find out it's not available, you can still find the items on their website weeks later.
