Kerosene Lamps​

Who remembers lighting the kero lamp
whenever the power went off?

We had a Tilley lamp that was kerosene fuelled, but definitely later era than the one in the picture.

I have one that is only used as an ornament, but we May need them down the track, with power shortages and prices!!

I still have 8 of them, including one with a double wick and an Aladin one with a mantle, instead of a wick.
My youngest daughter used to love it when we had a blackout, as we would light the lamps and put batteries in the old Crown stereo and play all the old 78 records.
