At 54, veteran comedian and presenter Julia Morris has seen and done it all – she's been in the entertainment industry for decades, has hosted some of Australia's most popular TV shows, and is a mum of two.

But despite all her success and experience, there's one thing that Julia says she hasn't done in a long time – and doesn't plan on doing any time soon.

In a recent interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! host made a surprising confession about her sex life: since getting divorced from Dan Thomas last year, she says she expects to stay celibate for the indefinite future.

'Do you know what? I think I'll shut up shop,' Julia said matter-of-factly when asked about her love life post-divorce. 'I'm done with roots.'

'Before I got married… I had a go,' she added. 'It's not like I'm missing out now I'm back out there.'

'I just think with work and life and definitely raising children, we just got lazy in the end.'

Can I mention, first, that celibate means "not married," even though people commonly use it to mean "not sexually active."

Blame the Church, of course, which decreed that nooky only took place within the sacred bounds of marriage. [That was Good Nooky. Some people, however, practised Naughty Nooky, not being married, and went to hell, erm, Hell. It's unclear whether celibate popes, bishops and priests were exempt.]

As to Ms Morris, still young at 54, the question of marriage is hers to decide and it's perfectly understandable if she wants to swear off knot-tying for a long while.

However, it's the 21st century, and it's not as though we've only just invented Naughty Nooky. If Ms Morris feels the urge, she's now free to indulge said urge as she sees fit.

And you know what? That's her freaking business! Good onya, Julia, enjoy yourself!

Yes when it's over it's over I say . Sadly we hold a lot of memories with someone & it's yes hard @ first but so would be in a loveless marriage I say .
