Who doesn't love scones? They're the perfect balance of crumbly and fluffy, and go so well with a dollop of whipped cream and jam.
But if you're looking to take your scone game up a notch, why not try this easy, 4-ingredient recipe?
You read that right, folks! Shared by Adelaide fitness trainer Kayla Itsines, the simple recipe only requires four easily accessible ingredients — self-raising flour, thickened cream, lemonade, and salt.
This recipe is ideal for those who are short on time but still want to enjoy homemade scones. The self-raising flour means there's no need to add baking powder, and the thickened cream ensures that the scones are nice and moist.

"I literally get called to people's houses to make these scones, they are so easy. People over-complicate scones but I guarantee you these are the best scones you will ever have," Kayla says in the video shared on her Instagram page.
Kayla begins preparing the scones by sifting three and a half cups of self-raising flour into a bowl.
Next, she creates a well in the centre to place the wet ingredients.
The 31-year-old explains: "Depending on how heavy your hand is, if you put too much lemonade or too much cream you might need to add a little more flour but right now we're going to gauge it on three and a half cups."
She then places one cup of each thickened cream and lemonade in the centre and stirs everything together.
Kayla advises rolling the dough out into a sheet that is a few centimetres thick, dusting the work surface with more flour, and slightly kneading it into a ball with clean hands.
Additionally, she recommends using an empty wine bottle if you don't have access to a rolling pin.
She explains: "When your scones are in the oven, they'll obviously get bigger so you don't want to run it super thin - it's not a pizza base. You want it nice and thick."

After cutting out the scone forms with a cup or cookie cutter, Kayla arranges them on a baking sheet coated with parchment paper.
The fitness trainer notes that you should give each piece an ample amount of space to prevent them from sticking together while baking.
The scones are then placed in her preheated oven and baked for around 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Finally, she serves the scones with the remaining whipped cream and some jam.
