Is this $39 Kmart kitchen item revolutionary or a total flop? Shoppers are shocked – find out why!

The world of kitchen gadgets is ever-evolving, with the latest innovations promising to make our culinary experiences quicker, easier, and more enjoyable. Kmart, a household name for budget-friendly items, has recently introduced a new contender in kitchen appliances: a $39 mini air fryer that has sparked a heated debate among home cooks and gadget enthusiasts alike.

The mini air fryer, a pint-sized version of the popular countertop appliance, is designed to deliver the same crispy and delicious results as its larger counterparts. Its compact size is touted as perfect for single servings and smaller meals, making it an attractive option for those with limited kitchen space, such as apartment dwellers, students, or the caravan community.

Elle Jamison, a Kmart shopper from NSW, was one of the early adopters who decided to give the mini air fryer a try. Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, she expressed her delight with the purchase: 'I love that I can make a snack without heating the whole oven — total game-changer for solo diners!' Her sentiment was echoed by TikToker Islah Palmer, who praised the appliance's aesthetics and functionality, noting its 'very pretty' design and 'a lot of settings.'

The convenience of the mini air fryer is not lost on Aussie mum Jodi Ferris either, who found it to be a perfect addition to her family's caravan. 'I found it really cooks well, I was actually surprised how well it cooked! We use it for small burger patties, chicken schnitzels, snacks, and nuggets for my little one,' she shared. The mini air fryer's appeal is further bolstered by its quiet operation and ease of use, making it a hit among customers who have left glowing reviews online.

For the elderly or those with mobility issues, the lightweight and easy-to-handle design of the mini air fryer presents a practical solution. It allows for the enjoyment of fried foods without the hassle of managing a bulky appliance. 'I’m a single girl, and it’s the perfect size for me,' gushed one user. 'The bigger ones are so heavy; this is ideal.'

Despite the rave reviews, the mini air fryer has its share of sceptics. Critics have taken to social media to voice their concerns, with some arguing that its small size limits its usefulness for everyday cooking. 'It’s too small to be practical,' one commenter lamented, while another quipped, 'Aren’t they so cute! It could fit a whole chicken nugget.' There are also doubts about the evenness of cooking, with one user pointing out, 'Your food needs room to cook properly... the smaller ones just don’t cook as evenly.'

Kmart's mini air fryer is part of a broader trend of mini appliances that cater to the needs of space-conscious consumers. From mini rice cookers to single-slice toasters, these gadgets are designed for smaller households or those looking to maximise their kitchen space without sacrificing convenience. While they may not suit the needs of larger families, they are becoming a staple for many Australians looking for budget-friendly, space-saving solutions.

So, is the $39 Kmart mini air fryer a revolutionary kitchen must-have or a total flop? It seems the answer depends on who you ask. What's undeniable is that it has certainly captured the attention of shoppers, sparking conversations about what we value in our kitchen tools. Whether you're a solo diner in search of a quick and easy cooking solution or a sceptic of pint-sized appliances, the mini air fryer is a testament to the ever-changing landscape of home cooking.

Here we go again, a few weeks ago we had the little blue kettle and toaster which caused a little kerfuffle after I made a comment. Well, I did buy them both and I love them, the toaster is fantastic 1 slice of evenly cooked toast on both sides of the bread. {Now let me think about this air-fryer}

Choice reviewed this Kmart airfryer report was “not great” and disappointing. And even other airfryers say made in America but actually made in china😳so interesting reading.😊
I quite often use Choice for reviews if I am buying a product, of the 4 Kmart air fryers reviewed I didn't see this one

I bought this and love it. I cooked tuna patties and they turned out perfect, with crisp outsides, and they didn't fall apart like they do in the frypan.
