Is there truth behind the Sussexes’ split rumours? Meghan's former friend reveals shocking insights

Here at the Seniors Discount Club, we take delight in the intriguing diversion it offers from everyday life.

Many are captivated with the saga of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

There have been circulating rumours about the state of the storied pair’s marriage.

Reports suggest that their journey from being senior royals to stepping back and relocating to California has been a rollercoaster ride filled with ups and downs.

The couple’s decision to step back from royal duties and relocate to the United States, specifically California, has sparked debates and discussions about their relationship with the media, privacy concerns, and their future roles within the royal family. Image from flickr

They are said to be taking time apart to work on their relationship during these challenging times. However, this was denied by a source close to the couple. You can read more about it here.

Lizzie Cundy, an English television personality and former friend of Duchess Meghan, recently added fuel to the speculation about the state of Meghan's marriage to Prince Harry in an interview with Britain’s Mirror.

'We could all see the writing was on the wall. It's very different when you're a celebrity princess than being a royal princess, and frankly, Meghan just wasn't up for the job,' Cundy surmised.

She went on to add, ‘She didn’t want to put the hard work in, opening hospitals and doing all the roles that royals do. It’s not easy; it’s not glamorous, it’s not like on the red carpet.’

Cundy's hints about Meghan's disinclination towards regular royal tasks and a possible clash with Princess Kate for the limelight add an interesting twist to the ongoing saga.

She commented, ‘I think Meghan thought she was going to be the top dog star of the show (but) Princess Kate was always going to have that role.’

She also discussed a potential split between Harry and Meghan, considering its potential benefits for Harry.

‘I think it will be in some respects better for Harry. We’ve got to look at it from Harry’s side. He’s in California now; he’s got none of his friends. He’s got no family; he’s got a rift with his father and his brother. It must be very lonely at times,’ she said.

The rumours of their split gained traction, fueled by claims that Harry and Meghan were pursuing separate career paths in an attempt to improve their public image.

It appears that Meghan has sought support from leading celebrity agent William Morris Endeavor (WME) to explore more job opportunities, which observers say might be a strategic move to reshape their public perception.

According to Royal Commentator Kinsey Schofield, the publicity surrounding the 'Sussex brand' could have influenced their decision to diverge their professional avenues.

Schofield stated, ‘I certainly think that this is the beginning of the end for the Sussex entertainment brand, which was so important to them when they left the British royal family, and the idea of Meghan taking off and doing her own thing.’

She said that the WME is advising Meghan to take these actions.

They believe the Sussex brand has been negatively affected and needs improvement. In their recent announcement about signing Meghan, they specifically excluded Prince Harry.

They aim to elevate Meghan's stardom, but this decision has potentially led to conflicts within the family.

Schofield noted that things have changed a lot from Harry and Meghan's original plan to work together in America.

Despite facing challenges, they have also used their platform to launch initiatives such as the Archewell Foundation and have signed lucrative deals with media companies to produce content that aligns with their values and passions. Image from flickr

They wanted to build a brand like former US president Barack and Michelle Obama, focusing on speaking engagements.

‘They really wanted to be on the speaking circuit, creating documentaries and podcasts very similar to the strategy we’ve seen the former president take since he left office. And oh ... how the mighty have fallen.’

But things haven't turned out as expected, and now they are facing criticism from media outlets in the United States that used to support them.

While Meghan's agency tries to find her more work opportunities, Schofield thinks Harry will return to his charity work, reminding people of Princess Diana, whom everyone loved.

‘I think that Harry is going to go back to his charitable roots—it also associates him with Princess Diana, which people notoriously loved.’ she said.

‘So I think we’re going to see him do more things that are charity-driven….’

Key Takeaways

  • A former friend of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has shared her views on the rumours of a split between Meghan and Prince Harry.
  • Lizzie Cundy, who once was friends with the Duchess, suggested that Meghan wasn't prepared for the duties of a royal princess and mentioned the subsequent loneliness and alienation Harry must be facing.
  • Earlier, a source close to Harry and Meghan rubbished the claims of their separation as untrue and fabricated.
  • The rumours compounded further with reports of Harry and Meghan navigating their careers in different directions to bolster their public image.

Now, let's talk about this saga from a different angle. Do you think it's ending, or do you expect more thrilling episodes in the ongoing story of the Sussexes?

So everyone who has negatively commented on this site has now become expert in giving their own opinion, (which they believe is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth), on how someone else should live!!! Is that how you all live your lives - interfering with and deciding who is telling the truth? Sad to have to say it but I wouldn’t like to be friends with any of you negative people who seem to think this way.

Let them live their lives as they, and only they, deem fit. If they decide to part ways that is their business and only their business. It’s not our business, it’s not the media’s business and absolutely no one else’s business.

Give it a rest people. This constant commenting and interfering in other people’s lives does eventually have a negative effect on them, one way or another. There are too many media organisations that try to dig up dirt just for a penny and to spread hype.

Frankly, I don't care for Harry or Meghan and fortunately, I am NOT in their shoes therefore I don't know what I would do.

I just feel sorry for their kids growing up in an environment where money, fame, and narcissism take priority. In the end, they pay the price as it usually is.

This is an old man talking having been married for 66 years to my princess and looking forward to clocking 70 years with her and of course not all of it was bliss. Being married is a commitment with certain rules and regulations one has to follow. Some may go against your grain, just suck it up and adapt.

May I say there have been obstacles on the road where we stand now, but we allow for our differences of view and our love to blossom. It worked for us. If those two talk to each other instead of the press, lawyers, and media they may be just OK. Take lessons from Kate and William, and listen to Dad King Charles after all he had to overcome many obstacles too! William and Harry were fine until...I stop here. Have a guess!
Thank you Simon. Your comments are pretty much spot on.
Let them sort out their lives without outside interference. If we all allowed the media to dictate our own lives there wouldn’t be any still married couples around. I’ve been married just two months short of 56 years - many ups & downs, but we’re still together and I definitely wouldn’t want it any other way. We’ve worked things out ourselves - so leave Harry & Meghan to do the same, their way.

Really - who cares? There is so much devastation in the world at the moment, are people so interested in a couple of such little consequence?

He should never have married that B#t@h. She's a D grade actor with a big ego. never liked her in anything. He needs to kick her to the curb as she has caused a LOT of trouble for him and the royals. He needs to get the kids and go to england before she can take them and all his money, if she left any.

I am sick and tired of all this vitriol towards this couple and the lies that are printed in magazines such as New Idea and Woman's Day and now this club. Trolling is hateful and does so damage. Leave them alone.

They can stand on their heads for all I care.
It's time they just got on with things and quit trying to be the ex-royal version of the Kardashians.
Mind you, I don't care about the K clan either.
The generation of today have dug a great big hold for themselves. Whether royal or not, nothing is private, sacred or cherished. It's all about the number of views for the amount of $$$$ per view.
They can stew in their own juice.

Seriously, who believes the dribbles of crap coming out of these people's mouths.
How the hell would a FORMER friend of Meghan's know anything about Meghan & Harry's marriage??
I reckon the ex-friend is just looking for her 15seconds of fame.

Who cares... it might just a story created for certain people to try and make money by selling it, I am pretty sure the their will be more and more stories coming from more and more charlatans

My heart bleeds for them.....NOT... She will get what she wanted (par for the course) in the massive settlement. Get rid of her Harry!!!! A blight on society.
