Is there truth behind the Sussexes’ split rumours? Meghan's former friend reveals shocking insights

Here at the Seniors Discount Club, we take delight in the intriguing diversion it offers from everyday life.

Many are captivated with the saga of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

There have been circulating rumours about the state of the storied pair’s marriage.

Reports suggest that their journey from being senior royals to stepping back and relocating to California has been a rollercoaster ride filled with ups and downs.

They are said to be taking time apart to work on their relationship during these challenging times. However, this was denied by a source close to the couple. You can read more about it here.

Lizzie Cundy, an English television personality and former friend of Duchess Meghan, recently added fuel to the speculation about the state of Meghan's marriage to Prince Harry in an interview with Britain’s Mirror.

'We could all see the writing was on the wall. It's very different when you're a celebrity princess than being a royal princess, and frankly, Meghan just wasn't up for the job,' Cundy surmised.

She went on to add, ‘She didn’t want to put the hard work in, opening hospitals and doing all the roles that royals do. It’s not easy; it’s not glamorous, it’s not like on the red carpet.’

Cundy's hints about Meghan's disinclination towards regular royal tasks and a possible clash with Princess Kate for the limelight add an interesting twist to the ongoing saga.

She commented, ‘I think Meghan thought she was going to be the top dog star of the show (but) Princess Kate was always going to have that role.’

She also discussed a potential split between Harry and Meghan, considering its potential benefits for Harry.

‘I think it will be in some respects better for Harry. We’ve got to look at it from Harry’s side. He’s in California now; he’s got none of his friends. He’s got no family; he’s got a rift with his father and his brother. It must be very lonely at times,’ she said.

The rumours of their split gained traction, fueled by claims that Harry and Meghan were pursuing separate career paths in an attempt to improve their public image.

It appears that Meghan has sought support from leading celebrity agent William Morris Endeavor (WME) to explore more job opportunities, which observers say might be a strategic move to reshape their public perception.

According to Royal Commentator Kinsey Schofield, the publicity surrounding the 'Sussex brand' could have influenced their decision to diverge their professional avenues.

Schofield stated, ‘I certainly think that this is the beginning of the end for the Sussex entertainment brand, which was so important to them when they left the British royal family, and the idea of Meghan taking off and doing her own thing.’

She said that the WME is advising Meghan to take these actions.

They believe the Sussex brand has been negatively affected and needs improvement. In their recent announcement about signing Meghan, they specifically excluded Prince Harry.

They aim to elevate Meghan's stardom, but this decision has potentially led to conflicts within the family.

Schofield noted that things have changed a lot from Harry and Meghan's original plan to work together in America.

Despite facing challenges, they have also used their platform to launch initiatives such as the Archewell Foundation and have signed lucrative deals with media companies to produce content that aligns with their values and passions. Image from flickr

They wanted to build a brand like former US president Barack and Michelle Obama, focusing on speaking engagements.

‘They really wanted to be on the speaking circuit, creating documentaries and podcasts very similar to the strategy we’ve seen the former president take since he left office. And oh ... how the mighty have fallen.’

But things haven't turned out as expected, and now they are facing criticism from media outlets in the United States that used to support them.

While Meghan's agency tries to find her more work opportunities, Schofield thinks Harry will return to his charity work, reminding people of Princess Diana, whom everyone loved.

‘I think that Harry is going to go back to his charitable roots—it also associates him with Princess Diana, which people notoriously loved.’ she said.

‘So I think we’re going to see him do more things that are charity-driven….’

  • The rumours compounded further with reports of Harry and Meghan navigating their careers in different directions to bolster their public image.

Now, let's talk about this saga from a different angle. Do you think it's ending, or do you expect more thrilling episodes in the ongoing story of the Sussexes?

I am cancelling my membership. This story about the Sussexes is just rewritten rubbish from overseas tabloids . None of the people quoted have had anything to do with them for years or never. They know nothing about their marriage. It’s all made-up nonsense, The only who has been quoted in recent times who does know is Harry’s polo teammate and close friend Nacho Figueroa. In reply to a tweeted story in a Murdoch publication claiming the marriage was on the rocks, he tweeted “BS”. The Murdoch publication promptly deleted its story.

ld the fact that they settled in California been influenced by the divorce rules of that State which I understand heavily favour the wife.

Frankly, I don't care for Harry or Meghan and fortunately, I am NOT in their shoes therefore I don't know what I would do.

I just feel sorry for their kids growing up in an environment where money, fame, and narcissism take priority. In the end, they pay the price as it usually is.

This is an old man talking having been married for 66 years to my princess and looking forward to clocking 70 years with her and of course not all of it was bliss. Being married is a commitment with certain rules and regulations one has to follow. Some may go against your grain, just suck it up and adapt.

May I say there have been obstacles on the road where we stand now, but we allow for our differences of view and our love to blossom. It worked for us. If those two talk to each other instead of the press, lawyers, and media they may be just OK. Take lessons from Kate and William, and listen to Dad King Charles after all he had to overcome many obstacles too! William and Harry were fine until...I stop here. Have a guess!

Gee like we couldn't see this coming, everything this girl has done was to get herself in the limelight, and when she realised being in the royal family was NOT a fairytale existence she wanted OUT. Harry needs to grow a set and pack up his children and go home.

  • Haha
Reactions: Trudi
Pretty obvious I would think!!
Well, I disagree with you. From where I stand, they make a lovely couple. Harry's problem is not his wife, but the harrassment both of them receive from the media. I very much prefer these two to Harry's insipid brother and it appears that his sister-in-law has a nasty streak if things don't go her way.
