Indulge your Easter cravings for under $10 as ALDI reveals its new chocolate range

Easter is a time of joy, celebration, and for some people, indulgence in delicious chocolates.

But this year, ALDI is making sure that your Easter is not only sweet but also affordable.

The supermarket giant has unveiled its Easter chocolate range for 2024, and the best part? Nothing is priced over $10!

ALDI's Easter offerings are a delightful mix of traditional favourites and exciting new additions.

From classic chocolate bunnies to innovative mini eggs with intriguing flavours, there's something for everyone.

With prices starting as low as $1.69, these treats are sure to bring a smile to your face without burning a hole in your pocket.

New to the ALDI Easter lineup this year were the Dairy Fine Mini Filled Eggs 110g ($2.99) with unique flavours like Popcorn, Corn Flakes, and Brownie.

These join the much-loved Raspberry Popping Candy Mini Eggs ($2.49) and the Dairy Fine Milk Chocolate Easter Egg Bag 400g ($9.99).

For those who prefer sticking to the classics, ALDI has you covered. The traditional Easter chocolates on offer include Dairy Fine Milk Chocolate Bunny 110g ($1.69), Dairy Fine Chocolate Speckled Eggs 100g ($2.49), Dairy Fine Milk Chocolate Solid Eggs 400g ($5.99), and Dairy Fine Easter Egg Hunt Kit 340g ($8.99).

These products are subject to change without prior notice, so it is advised to check with your nearest ALDI stores its price and availability.

However, it isn't just about chocolates.

Hot cross buns are a staple of the season, and ALDI is offering these bakery goods in a variety of flavours.

Choose from indulgent apple and cinnamon, chocolate, fruitless, and brioche, or–if you're a fan of hot cross bun flavours in other forms–you'll be delighted to find the returning favourite Hot Cross Bun Fudge 150g ($3.99), and even Hot Cross Bun Mini Eggs ($2.49).

'Good quality, delicious chocolate doesn't need to come at a high price this Easter. The Easter Bunny has served up some great deals at ALDI this year, with new additions set to have shoppers salivating,' said a spokesperson for the company.

In the spirit of Easter, other supermarkets are also joining the price drop bandwagon.

Coles, for instance, is offering a 25 per cent discount on Easter confectionery for one week across a number of brands, including Lindt, Cadbury, Kinder, Red Tulip, and Darrell Lea.

Some items even have bigger discounts of up to 50 per cent off, such as the Cadbury Bunny Dairy Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny 80g ($3) from its $6 original price after receiving backlash from one shopper’s social media post. You can read more about this story here.

I bought Easter Eggs from Aldi one year on the Thursday before Easter. Two of them were mouldy when the kids opened them on Easter Sunday. This is not the only time I have had mouldy chocolates from Aldi and twice had insects in packaged salad leaves. No more Aldi for me since.
