Welcome to the SDC community, Kev! Sounds like you’ve led a full and purpose-filled life, and it’s brilliant to have someone with your heart and experience join us. You’ve got such a kind spirit, and I’m sure many here will appreciate hearing about your journey. From music and ministry to carpentry and community radio — you’ve really got all bases covered! Hopefully you’ll find some lovely company here and maybe even that special someone down the track. Don’t be shy about jumping into some of the forum threads — we’ve got all sorts of chats going. Here's to more adventures and great conversations! Cheers!Hi Everyone, My name is Kevin, but most people call me Kev, ( amongst other things!) which is Fine. I am 67, and live in Perth WA. I am a Christian and attend a Church where I am involved in the praise and worship as I am also a musician and play guitar. I retired last year and originally come from the UK. I lived here over 30 years ago, and I have recently returned. I was so pleased as I was granted my residency after applying for a returning residents visa, for which I give God thanks for. So I am currently involved with various voluntary work in the community. I do pastoral work in care homes for people with dementia and I also volunteer as a driver in order to help people get to their various appointments. I also volunteer for an organisation called MMM which is mobile mission maintenance as I am a carpenter by trade. I am also a presenter for a local community radio station called VCA 88.5FM. I would love the opportunity to meet someone as I have been on my own now for several years although I am busy it is still nice to be able to share the good things in life with someone special, so I hope and pray that that may happen in time. I look forward to hearing from you. God Bless. Kev.
