We all know how delicious fried chicken from KFC is. The combination of that crispy outer layer and the juicy, flavourful meat on the inside is just pure heaven, which is why we can never say no to it… even when we're trying to eat healthily!
Of course, we still get peckish for those world-famous chicken fillets every once in a while, but we all know that getting takeaway all the time isn't the most time or money-efficient option.
The good news is that there's an alternative for when those cravings hit – and you can find it right in your local Woolworths freezer aisle!
Just last month, we talked about how several shoppers have gone wild for a chicken item in the Woolworths’ frozen food aisle that tastes ‘exactly’ like a burger from KFC – with some declaring it’s even better than the fast food giant’s.
The product in question is the Tegel Take Outs' Louisiana Style Burger, which was widely regarded as a superb alternative to KFC.
But what makes this dupe quite better is that instead of being deep-fried in all that oil, these burgers are designed to be cooked in an air fryer (or baked in the oven, as some of our members here at the SDC have said!) for a healthier option.
Of course, something as amazing as this chicken product comes with a drawback, and that is the rather expensive price point.
The product has a retail price of $14, and the label indicates that it can provide four to five servings, which is equivalent to around 600 grams of chicken. Many of our members said this is usually way out of their price range, so they often skip this product at the store.

We are pleased to let you know, however, that Woolworths has just reduced the price of this popular chicken buy. They discounted the price from $14 to $7 – yes, you read that correctly... that's half the original cost!
You must, however, act quickly if you want to take advantage of this offer because it is only valid through this Tuesday, October 25.
