Hundreds of ants swarm this woman's bathroom every day - what is going on?

Given the change in season and the current warmer temperatures, we were not surprised to hear of a mum in Queensland who is dealing with an ant infestation right now.
The woman, who works as a makeup artist, has three other bathrooms in her four-story house, and she claims she can't seem to get rid of ants from her ensuite bath - no matter what she does.
We can all relate to this woman's plight, at least on the surface level. We've all had to deal with swarms of ants before, and no one wants a bunch of creepy crawlies running around their house.
However, there is one thing about this infestation that makes it particularly strange - the ants have taken a liking to her toilet paper - and can't seem to stay away from it!
The woman posted pictures of the infestation on social media, which showed hundreds upon hundreds of ants crawling between each layer of the floral-scented toilet paper. Needless to say, this is incredibly concerning - not to mention confusing as well!
'Ants are obsessed with my toilet paper,' the woman wrote on the post. 'I took this picture while sitting on the toilet.'
While the woman has yet to uncover the root cause of the issue, people responded to her post in droves.
Some suggested it could be due to a pesky water leak, while others argued it could have something to do with the paper she chooses, with some theories suggesting it's the materials (such as glue) or scent are attractive to the ants.
Of course, other members of the Facebook group also had plenty of tips to offer on how to solve this problem.
Some suggested the woman simply let off 'ant bombs' or put ant-rid in the bathroom, while others recommended that she wipe all the surfaces over with tea tree oil, reasoning that ants seem to hate it.
Meanwhile, some chose to poke a bit of fun at the situation, with one woman saying, 'You use that, and you literally will have ants in your pants!'
We definitely feel for the mum who's dealing with this problem, and we hope she finds the answer to her mystery ant situation and is enjoying a clean, ant-free toilet in peace once again!
At the end of the day, whatever the cause may be, this is certainly an issue of concern and one that every homeowner should be vigilant of.
Members, if you ever come across a situation like this, try baking soda! Baking soda is one of the best home remedies for getting rid of ants in your house, as it's mildly alkaline and quickly dehydrates the critters.
Simply mix equal parts of baking soda and icing sugar in a bowl and spread the concoction around the area where you've seen ants. This will help to attract them.
However, if you still can't achieve the desired results, it might be time to ask for the help of a local pest control expert.
