Hughsey's shocking on-air confession about gross habit leaves listeners disgusted!

In the world of radio, where the airwaves are filled with laughter, banter, and the occasional shocker, listeners are often treated to the unexpected.

However, even the most seasoned radio enthusiasts were taken aback by a recent on-air confession from one of Australia's most well-known radio hosts, Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes.

During a segment that was meant to be light-hearted, Hughesy dropped a bombshell that left his co-hosts and listeners reeling with disgust.

Hughesy, known for his candid humour and no-holds-barred approach to broadcasting, made a startling admission about a personal habit that has since sparked outrage among his audience.

The Aussie radio personality confessed to frequently urinating in public places, a revelation that not only shocked his co-hosts, Ed Kavalee and Erin Molan, but also ignited a firestorm of criticism from the public.

The incident unfolded on the airwaves when Hughesy nonchalantly mentioned that his wife ‘hates’ it when he often opts for the great outdoors when nature calls, even if it means relieving himself in his own backyard within view of his family.

'We've got our back to sort of a glass wall at the back of our house. So I will just walk out while they're watching TV, and they can see me, and I'll just wee in the backyard,' he narrated, much to the dismay of his co-hosts.

But it didn't stop there. Hughesy went on to say, 'I also pee in public often. I would much prefer to find a tree on the side of the road, or if I’m in a park, and I can, I’m cool.'

This brazen admission prompted Kavalee to question the time of day these acts typically occur, to which Hughesy casually replied, 'During the day!'

‘That’s rank,’ Kavalee disgustingly remarked.

The response from listeners was swift, with many taking to social media to express their disgust and disappointment.

One fan wrote, 'Love you, but this is NOT OK. Think… people like to sit under a shady tree in the park eek. So the damp could potentially be wee. Um, big NO.'

‘I would be furious with you!’ another commented.

‘Ew, ew, ew… it’s a big no from me!’ a third chimed.

The controversy comes on the heels of another heated on-air debate between Hughesy and Molan regarding the date of Australia Day, a topic that has divided the nation.

The discussion was sparked by cricket captain Pat Cummins' public admission on the 2DayFM radio show that he was behind the reason for changing the date.

‘I’m just sick of the same debate every single year. I want to celebrate this amazing country and if we can’t all do it on this date, then…’ Molan argued.

‘So Erin Molan’s saying change the date,’ Hughesy declared.

‘No, I’m not saying change the date,’ she replied. ‘You’re such a loser.’

‘I am. I’m saying, change the date!’ he responded.

‘No, I’m just saying I’m sick to death of not being able to celebrate,’ Molan explained.

‘I respect people that want the date changed, and I respect people who want to keep the date the same. I’m sick to death of fighting about it.’

This is also not the first time that Hughesy had been at the centre of a controversy.

Last year, it was revealed that he was almost harmed over a contentious joke.

There is a time & place for everything.

Walking into the backyard where he can be seen to urinate is not smart.

I believe there used to be a law in a state of Aust. where it was legal to urinate on a wheel of your own car without being fined. Not sure which wheel this was.

l worked with a non Australian gent in construction who would regularly urinate in an area where we were working or about to work & a crane driver who would do this behind the cab / in front of the rear wheels. Must come with the nationality l think.
