Huge price drop alert! How to get hundreds of products for less at Woolworths

There's no denying that grocery shopping can be overwhelming. The choices are endless, and it's often difficult to decide which products are worth spending your hard-earned money on.

If you've been meaning to go grocery shopping but haven't gotten around to it yet, you should definitely take a look at Woolworths' Prices Dropped for Autumn promotion.

Woolworths is knocking the price down on more than 400 popular items, making it easier than ever to score incredible discounts.

Through its latest promotion, the supermarket is making it possible for Aussies to enjoy savings on essentials like Arnott’s Vita-Weat, Dairy Farmers Thick and Creamy Yoghurt, and more.

Woolworths said the program represents 'millions of dollars' in savings for customers, and that it is refreshed every season to include popular staples 'specific to that time of year'.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of the discounted items included in the promotion:

Just a reminder, members, that this sale starts tomorrow, February 22nd so some price changes are not reflected on the site.

Woolworths Chief Commercial Officer Paul Harker remarked that the retailer is committed to finding ways to relieve shoppers' cost-of-living concerns.

'We understand that cost-of-living pressures are being felt by our customers and our team, particularly as the school year kicks into gear and families plan for the Easter holidays,' he noted.

'As well as the Priced Dropped program, we have thousands of weekly specials, a vast range of our own Brand products, and Everyday Rewards to help customers’ shops go further.'

From February 22, 2023, to May 23, 2023, customers can view the most recent Prices Dropped product list by clicking here.

The promotion comes after Coles announced that it will be extending its Dropped and Locked program until 11 April this year from its original end date of 31 January 2023.

Coles’ promotion saw the retailer slashing the prices of dozens of essential items including meat products, yoghurt, juices, and more. You can read more about the Dropped and Locked promotion here.

As supermarkets continue to compete for customers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, these price drops are a welcome relief for many consumers who are looking to save money on their weekly grocery bills. The move by Woolworths follows Coles' lead in implementing a similar price reduction campaign, and we hope other supermarkets will soon follow suit in a bid to attract customers.

I notice it is not tea, coffee, veggies, all the things we have to buy. I have watched a 1kg tin of Milo go from $9 to $14 at Woolworths probably in the space of 6 months. The supermarkets should be doing a lot more discounting but they won't how else will they make their HUGE profit. Think I'II go live in England the prices are cheaper, never thought I would ever say that, things MUST BE BAD.

It’s a pity they aren’t dropping the prices on essential everyday items like bread milk eggs cheese fruit veggies meat . Most of the items with dropped prices we only need to buy every so often . Meanwhile prices on everyday items keep skyrocketing .

It's about time. Coles must have been hurting them.

Now let's hope that the producers and suppliers aren't the one copping the brunt of it all.

Over the last few months both Coles and Woolies have had price hikes of up to around 20% . They are now dropping prices back to what they were before the price hikes and claiming to be the good guys who care. Just one example is the Arnotts Vita-weat 250gm that, for the last couple of years, have retailed for about $3.30 -$3.50 went up to $4.00 and are now dropping back to $3.50. The question really is are they genuine in their attempt to help those who are struggling or just trying to convince people that they are. A much bigger help to those in need would be discounts on the everyday essentials, then they would be able to say that they care.

Grocery shopping is a nightmare we are both on pensions and every fortnight all items have gone up what are we supposed to do?

I’m a bit disgusted with the way prices have risen I’ll give 2 examples; My favourite biscuits are Scotch Fingers and I don’t buy Arnotts because they are totally overpriced , so for years I have bought Coles or Woolworths own brand Scotch Fingers and for a very long time they were priced at 95cents at both retailers. Coles increased their price first to $1.25 and Woolworths followed suit about a week later. That’s over a 30% increase!!!
Then Heinz beans at one time and for a long time were 3 wrapped cans for $3 and now they are $5.20 for the same product. That’s a huge percentage increase and I don’t know how that increase can be justified.
I’m very sceptical about Cole’s and Woolies price drops, and I believe they’re both making huge profits from their price hikes

forget about going shopping at WW or coles, they are ripped off, go to Aldi heaps cheaper and better.

WHAT EVERY DAY ITEMS???? The above listed are NOT everyday items. In the meantime, the REAL everyday items are increasing in price. I also note that not all items are available at our local Woolworths store, but they are at other stores further out. It smells of selective clearing of stock that is not moving on the shelves.

You do know that anything that is "Price Dropped" will NOT go on special until the promotion ends! My mum used to always get the Greenseas Sweet Chilli tuna tins which were always 1/2 price ($1.15) nearly every 2nd week...they price dropped the price to $1.65...now it is NEVER on special! I cringe when I see a price drop on something I regularly buy as I know it will not be on special for a long time!

Most of the Price Drops are for large size items. For a single person this is a waste.
They are catering for the families but the single person is hurting just as much. Smaller sizes are so much more expensive
