There’s no shortage of mouthwatering cookie recipes online – but we bet you haven’t stumbled across many that require fewer ingredients than this one!
One popular baker has shared her tried-and-tested '100 cookie recipe' that can be replicated with only four ingredients in 20 minutes.
The recipe, which made the rounds on TikTok, was originally posted by an Australian food blog, Bake Play Smile. It captured the attention of users after claiming to make up to 100 cookies with just butter, caster sugar, self-raising flour, and a tin of condensed milk.
Even better, the dough can be frozen and topped with anything you like – 100s & 1000s, Milo (malted milk), hazelnuts, marshmallows, or chocolate chips.

To make the cookies, start by preheating your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Then, grease a baking tray with oil or butter before lining it with baking paper.
Whip the butter and sugar together for four to five minutes until the mixture is fluffy and turns into a pale yellow colour. Pour a tin of sweetened condensed milk into the mixture and stir thoroughly until combined.
Proceed by adding the self-raising flour one cup at a time. Make sure to beat gently before adding another cup and repeat until it forms into a dough.
You may opt to divide the dough into separate bowls with different toppings for each if you want to be more creative as it adds some variety to the cookies.

Once you’re ready to bake them, roll the dough into teaspoon-sized balls and place them on the lined baking tray, roughly 5 centimetres apart. Bake each tray of cookies for 10 minutes.
Bake Play Smile shared a photo of the end result, which garnered hundreds of likes on Instagram.
'Yummy! This is so easy to make! A great recipe and I love them – probably a little too much.' one woman complimented.
A second said that she had just watched her 11-year-old twins make the cookies 'pretty much unassisted', adding: 'It's a win-win for me!'

‘One of our favourites! We make them often. If the kids aren’t hungry, we freeze half of the batch as an emergency stash.’ a third wrote.
‘My daughter made these for a cake stall at school this week – they were a huge hit!’ another commented.
You’ll be saying goodbye to store-bought cookies forever if you give these ones a shot. What flavour and toppings would you add to these cookies? Share a picture of the best batch of cookies you baked with us in the comments!
