How are you staying fit and healthy these days?

Members, what's been keeping you busy these days? As for me, I've been on a little journey to get back in shape. Nothing too drastic; just taking it one step at a time. You know what they say, ‘baby steps’ are the way to go!

How about you? How are you staying fit and healthy these days? I'd love to read your tips and routines, and I'm sure others would, too! Feel free to leave a comment below.

After all, as the great William Shakespeare once said, ‘Our bodies are our gardens—our wills are our gardeners.’

Let's inspire and support each other in taking care of ourselves!

I remained fit and healthy by being very fortunate to have a career in Nursing as a triple certificated nurse plus being a very busy single mum for 30 years bringing up 3 daughters -all 3 became university graduates
Having a very brain stimulating and physically active career walking up to 15000 to 20000 steps a day , talking caring and learning from staff and patients from all walks of life and cultures never stop learning and listening from others .
When covid hit .I was in my 80th year of working but decided it was potentially risky for my family so I stopped
Having worked in an A class govt hospital for 44.4 years straight plus other years overseas and in other parts of Australia THAT is the answer is WORK as long as you can ( the govt should raise the retirement age so people can implement it into their lives should they wish ) ,exercise daily great if you have a job where exercise is included all the better and I also played sport when I was younger . I Read newspapers dly to keep my self well informed and educated ,get involved in volunteering in community groups I do enjoy politics dont know whether that is a good or bad thing but makes really good brain stimulating material for an interesting discussion I do help the govt on polling days I also love gardening and cooking so having a healthy low(ISH) carb diet over a lifetime has helped
Just simply helping and caring about others you will have a great healthy life Having a business or career where making money is your goal or by accident because of your talents or your career ,for yourself ,shareholders ,the govt then life can become a very stressful and an associated unhealthy lifestyle - as I have personally seen just be happy and contented and make the best of life
