Hot Summer Nights

I am 68 years young & have so many wonderful childhood memories. In the 1950’s & 1960’s, families did not have air conditioning. On hot nights, all the families would sleep on the front or back lawns, as it was cooler than sleeping in their homes. They would chat to each other.
There was no crime, people trusted & respected people back in those days.
It is such a shame, in these times, some people do not trust & respect other people or their property.
WE DID LIVE IN VERY GOOD TIMES!

Thank you so much for the chance to enter.

Yes we did exactly the same & fell asleep at times counting the stars - at other times we had to
go back inside as the mozzies would not stop! They where very good times!

Yes I remember those nights fondly, everytime I smell mosquito repellant! It was lathered on by mum. My dad never slept outside, or my brother, just mum and I in the backyard. On some really, really hot nights we all would go to the beach and sleep there with so many other families. Tea was a barbie and it was all shared amongst us. Would definitely not do it these days, very young and teenagers have no respect these days, not all, some.
