Who remembers this ‘Honeymoon Special’ package? This vintage General Electric ad promoted the ‘Honeymoon Special’—a trousseau case packed with the three ‘most hoped-for’ electrical gifts: an automatic coffee maker, a toaster, and an iron. Marketed as the perfect gift for a new bride, the set was designed to bring convenience to a newlywed’s home.

I got the full shot of steam,water spray state of the art general electric steam iron and sunbeam ironing board in 1981 for a wedding present.That iron lasted 17 years and boy did it get a beating,same with the board,irons are just not the same anymore and doesn't matter what you spend on them.Actuallyost appliances just don't last anymore.
