Honey and mustard are an incredible combo, the sweetness, and the tangy zest pair well with roast chicken or red meat.

How to make honey mustard potatoes?​

The preparation for this potato recipe is very simple: First, we precook the potatoes in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, so they are cooked through and almost ready to eat. At this point, you can keep the precooked potatoes on the side and finish them later.
Then sauté potatoes in oil to get that nice golden skin all around.
Finally add the honey, mustard, chicken broth, herbs, and spices to coat the potatoes. Cook a couple of minutes to reduce the glaze, and the honey mustard potatoes are ready!



Tips for the honey mustard potatoes recipe​

These honey mustard potatoes are an easy side dish that’s quick to whip up, leaving you free to do other things in the meantime.
  • Do put too much olive oil. in the glaze. Drizzle on just one tablespoon with the other ingredients for the glaze.
  • You can make these sauteed potatoes vegan by using vegetable stock and maple syrup instead of chicken broth and honey.
  • A variant of this potato recipe is to roast the potatoes instead of boiling them. Then finish with the glaze as per the recipe.








Directions​

1. To make Honey Mustard Potatoes: Par-boil the baby potatoes in salted water until tender when pierced with a fork.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the baby potatoes until the skin is golden brown. Set aside.
3. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, chicken broth, and seasonings to the potatoes and cook on medium-high heat until the sauce thickens and forms a sticky glaze.
4. Garnish the honey mustard potatoes with fresh chopped chives and serve immediately. Enjoy! ❤️
