Honey Lime Grilled ChickenCraving something sweet and savoury? This recipe for honey lime grilled chicken is the perfect dish. The chicken breasts are marinated in a mixture of honey, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, and Italian herbs, then grilled to perfection. To make this dish, you need:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts,
1/3 cup honey,
juice of 1 lime,
2 tablespoons olive oil,
1 teaspoon minced garlic,
1 teaspoon
Italian herb mix,
1/4 cup white vinegar,
1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce,
salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste.
Instructions:
1. Whisk together white vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, honey, your favourite spicy sauce, garlic, and a teaspoon of Italian herb mix: (thyme, oregano and rosemary) in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Reserve 1/4 cup of the mixture and set aside. Marinate chicken breasts for at least 30 minutes to overnight.
2. Drain chicken breasts from the marinade.
3. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat and grill chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side, basting with reserved 1/4 cup marinade, until golden and cooked through. Make sure the marinade is thoroughly cooked.3. Slice the grilled chicken into strips and serve immediately with a crisp salad, if desired. Enjoy!
