Ready to get baking? Here's what you'll need! Please note: this recipe can produce about 36 cookies, so adjust the ingredients accordingly if you want to make a smaller batch.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups white sugar, divided

Directions

First, preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.

Then, grab a bowl and mix together 1 cup of sugar and the margarine until smooth. Beat in the egg and molasses until it's blended evenly. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt, and mix until it forms a dough.

Next, shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Place these sugar-coated balls on an ungreased baking sheet, making sure to leave 2 inches between each one.

Then, bake the gingersnaps for 8 to 10 minutes. When they’re ready, slide the cookie sheet out of the oven, and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Voilà! Now your delicious gingersnaps are ready for you to serve. Members, why not give this classic recipe a try, long-treasured for generations? In no time, you can have these treats out on the table for family and friends to snack on. Enjoy!

If its easier for you .... 3/4 cup of margarine equals 190 grams
Really great point, and apologies for the oversight, @Jay Jay! 3/4 cups is about 12 tbsps, or so my mate Google says :D Hats off to @Wandiwa as well for doing legend things 🙏
My grandma always added some lemon rind to her ginger biscuits. Actually, she added lemon to anything and everything.
Yum! Must have added quite the zing 😋
