Gluten Intolerant? Coles just released delicious instant noodles you can enjoy!

If you've ever had to commit to a gluten-free diet, then you'll know the headache that it can cause when it comes to finding delicious snacks that fit into your dietary restrictions.

It's a challenge that all too many of us have to endure – and it can make supermarket trips more difficult than expected.

At the SDC, we believe that everyone should have access to tasty, convenient food no matter their dietary requirements. Being able to purchase healthy, allergy-friendly food for a good price is more important than ever.

Thankfully, Coles came to the rescue with a popular product from their 'I'm Free From' range, which caters to those with various allergies, including gluten.

The retailer's newest product comes in three flavours: beef, chicken, and Mi Goreng. All are certified gluten-free, giving those with coeliac disease access to the delicious tastes of instant noodles without risking their health.

According to a Coles spokesperson, the 'I'm Free From' range has enjoyed massive success among its customers who live with allergies.

'The I’m Free From range is all about giving food allergy sufferers the ability to choose a variety of different foods without compromising on taste,' the spokesperson said.

'Our I’m Free From Brown Rice Noodles Cups range come in three flavours – beef, chicken and Mi Goreng – all of which are gluten-free and very popular among people with dietary requirements.’

'While chicken is the most sought-after, Mi Goreng has become increasingly popular over the past couple of years as customers look for greater convenience.'

'The I’m Free From instant noodle range is also great value for customers at only $2 each.'

Needless to say, customers are loving the new Brown Rice Noodle Cups.

'My daughter likes them,' one person said.

'They also have a four-pack of two-minute chicken gluten-free noodles that are new.'

Another shared: 'Love them … even my non-gluten-free kids love them.'

Others even shared their own insight on which flavours are the best.

'I only like the Mi Goreng ones because I like the oil and the sweet soy flavouring,' one customer said.

Creating gluten-free products that taste as good as the traditional ones can be a challenge for food companies, but with Coles’ I’m Free From range, customers can now enjoy a tasty and safe meal option that is free from allergens. After gathering customer feedback from a range of market research activities and consulting with product development experts, Coles developed a range of products suitable for people with different dietary and allergy needs.

Coles’ brand manager for the range, Joe Wilson, explains that a lot of effort went into creating these tasty snacks and meals.

‘We recognised that gluten-free food often tastes and looks different to the traditional products,’ he says, ‘so we worked hard to develop delicious dishes that don’t compromise on taste, texture or look.’

The development process involved testing out many different recipes and ingredients to get the right taste profile and texture that customers expect in their favourite meals, before finally settling on the three delicious flavours.

It should be noted that aside from Coles, Woolworths also stocks brown rice noodles to cater to their gluten-free shoppers.

I will definitely get some of these to trial as my daughter is a coeliac sufferer. It took her and myself many years to eventually track down as to what was causing her so much pain in her life.. now she leads a better life existing on gluten free products.
