Giraffes have long tongues
A giraffe’s tongue is about 18 inches long. Giraffes use their long, prehensile tongues to reach high branches and strip leaves from trees. The dark colour of their tongues helps protect them from sunburn while they forage. But how do they use it? Watch it here to find out!
