Hi guys! :)

I know this is super random, but my dad is turning 60 today (for early birds, that’s tomorrow!) and I still haven’t decided on a gift for him. I thought I would turn to you guys for help. He’s not too picky and always grateful for anything, but I would like to get him something special. I’ve given him running shoes and clothes in the past, but I want to do something different this year. I’m thinking maybe a dinner date at his favourite restaurant because he doesn’t get to treat himself and I also want to spend time with him.

To the dads here, I wonder what would be the perfect gift for your birthday? 🤔

If you have any ideas, please let me know in the comments below. 🙏

Thank you, guys! ;)

Vella, usually people over 50 or so love to keep photos as loving memories.
Therefore, I suggest a digital photo frame.
Most of these are about $100 and are around a10" screen and will hold thousands of photos.
The best that I have found is the QPIX which can be loaded by USB stick.
I just purchased one for my sister who turned 70 on Sept 26th.
They are not so readily available nowadays.
I searched around and finally found them at The Good Guys.

Wow 😮

Thank you all so much for the greetings and thoughtful gift recommendations! I think he will absolutely love any and all of these gifts, especially the experiences, smartwatch, baked goods, family portrait, “I’m sixty and I know it” shirt 😉, tracksuit, books, wine, and record player! You made it easier for me to pick out the perfect present for him. You guys are the best! 🥺

Also, happy birthday @BlondieM! 🙂 Wishing you all the happiness in the world on this special day!

I know
Does he have a smart watch, you can pick one up that is not expensive.

I thought I would never use one. Then last year for my 60th my daughter got me one.

Let's me know how much I've walked, my blood pressure ect

I love it and now wouldn't be without it
A couple of people with smart watches and they're always checking their footsteps etc. Great for a jogger.

For her 60th birthday I gave my Mum a book she could write special memories in re her childhood, family, special events etc. She completed it diligently and now 30 years later after she has just died, it is one of my and my children's most treasured possessions.

If he doesnt have it yet:
a holder for his mobile while running
good quality headphones

I personally am over "things" and prefer experiences. so a voucher for a private trainer, a couple of runs you do with him plus a drink/brunch afterwards
or restaurant, tickets to a show/game/movie
