Get the dupe of $140 designer item for $10 at Kmart: ‘They look so similar’

When it comes to home decor, the quest for style often comes with a hefty price tag. But what if you could give your home a designer makeover without breaking the bank?

Enter Kmart, the beloved discount retailer that's become a treasure trove for the budget-conscious and style-savvy alike.

The latest find? A homewares item that's causing quite the stir for its resemblance to a high-end product, but at a fraction of the cost.

The item in question is the 30cm Boucle Ball Cushion ($10), a chic and contemporary piece of Kmart's new August Living collection.

With its round shape and modern textured finish, this cushion is a dead ringer for the Bubble Cushion from Trit House, a designer piece that retails for $140 for the larger 33.5cm size and $90 for the smaller 23.5cm version, which is currently sold out.

The Kmart version, however, costs $10. It's no wonder that eagle-eyed shoppers are flocking to the store and sharing their fabulous finds in bargain-lovers groups on social media.

The excitement is palpable, with comments ranging from 'They look so similar' to 'I know which one I'll be buying' and 'They're identical.'

But what makes the Kmart cushion such a standout? According to a spokesperson, it's inspired by the trend of bold sculptural shapes and is designed to be easily styled to any Australian home.

‘The Boucle Ball cushion is inspired by the contemporary trend of bold sculptural shapes becoming integrated into easy-to-style pieces,’ a Kmart spokesperson said.

‘It can be effortlessly styled on sofas, beds, reading nooks, or window seats to add interest and comfort to any Australian home.’

Kmart's commitment to making 'little luxuries accessible for every Australian' is evident in its range of on-trend items at affordable prices.

The Boucle Ball cushion is just one example of how the retailer is helping customers achieve a stylish and contemporary look without the designer price tag.

‘One of the most popular pieces in Kmart’s Boucle collection is the Boucle Timber Chair ($89),’ the spokesperson shared.

‘It can be styled in a living room as a statement piece, in a bedroom as a reading nook, or in a home office for added elegance.’

The retailer's knack for creating buzz doesn't stop at cushions and chairs. Recently, Kmart made waves with its $15 Anko Microwave Toastie Maker, an innovative gadget that promises 'crispy' toasties in just minutes.

Described as a 'game-changer' by shoppers, it's the perfect solution for those with limited kitchen space for anyone looking for a quick and easy snack.

Not sure how these boucle ball cushions can add comfort to your home. They do look pretty and interesting, but piling them on your sofa would mean you're reducing your space to sit. If you want full use of your seating, where do you then put these cushions? If on the floor, they would surely become a trip hazard, especially for us seniors!

I like my cushions to be comfortable having balls around the place does not make me think of comfort. It’s a bit like designer clothing most of it looks diabolical to me 😂 I guess I’m just old fashioned.
Completely agree but I don’t think it’d take much leaning on for those balls to turn into flat oval discs.

We all know that China are copy cats. The more we buy of these cheap Chinese made rubbis items the less we are looking after our own businesses & peoples jobs here in Australia.
