I'm so sorry for your situation. Where do you live please? If I am close I could collect your medication for you. Have you researched if there are any volunteer groups in your area who could assist you, maybe a local Church group? Please take care 🌷

Hey @Ebby ! I also think this is a great idea :) We will take a look and see if we can do this on the tech side!

We also had to delete some birthdates on this thread as we want to protect every member's privacy here. We want this forum to be a safe place for everyone, so we hope you understand.

Thank you so much! Have a lovely day, everyone! :D

Good age l hope he keeps well and has many more to come ❤️
l just don't know how we can do this ''happy birthday'' thing, has anybody any ideas?
Maybe SDC could ask those that are interested to add their birthday (month and day ) to their profile page and then log all the details into a special birthday file that has been sorted in order, that information can then be called out in their newsletter in whatever section that they choose to nominate....it's a voluntary request of members information and not a mandatory request. Hope that helps somehow. Magpie1

Am I the only one feeling extorted by my pharmacy or are there others?
I don't mind paying the full reduced, PSB fee on my medication scripts, even though many other pharmacists reduce them.

Earlier this year they started adding a $5 delivery fee, which sounded fair (even though I live 2 blocks away).

Recently, they added a $5 charge for each blister pack (more than $20 per month). I thought of packing the blister packs myself, but because I am bedbound I will require the medication to be delivered. This could result in well over the $20 fee, so I scrapped that idea.

I phoned another pharmacist in the area who charges $15 per delivery; due to being further away.
Now I'm paying over $300 per year more, just for the blister packs (excluding the medication costs).
Is this the norm now?
dont you have a carer who could pick them up. jay2

lt was a bit disappointing SDC thought it necessary to delete some birthdays and it should be SDC members choice. l did put this idea to them several months ago but nothing materialised

Any gardeners out there?!…. I can’t grow tomatoes! They all seem to get disease and die off. Or the fruit is small and not many. I fertilise and don’t overwater. Cow manure in the soil. shade house and full sun….help!

I bought 2 of these from Temu for $3.80 each and find them easy to pack myself. That would save the cost of blister packing.1729855750739.png

That is so right and l thought the same thing and l also contacted Tricia and she also said it was a good idea too. Just hope they get round to doing it.l just wish everyone would join in with their birthdates year optional. ❤️
4th September for me. I was born on Fathers Day in 1949.

Small but meaningful thing for me.
I have been on the search for Advent Calendars that are not laden with chocolates. Early, but I need to get them soon so I can mail them to my 3 super adorable grand-nephews. It's something I have been enjoying for quite some time.
First, the Dollar Shops I went to will not even look at them until Halloween is done and dusted.
Then, the more expensive outlets were well beyond my budget.
Oh, the humanity.
