General Discussion Thread 17.12.2024

Hello and welcome to Tuesday, members! Anything fun that happened lately? Me? I visited a new cafe—and like what happens most of the time, they took me for a guy because of my name, calling out ‘order for Sir Danielle’. 😂 No big deal though—it happens all the time but it gives me a good laugh. What about you—got any cool stories about your name? I’d love to read them, so feel free to share them below.

Waiting room of Doctors or Dentist most of the time they would call the name Jo and sure enough a male would walk into the surgeon room.
As my full name has a hyphen JO-ANNE and always I am called Jo, the males are the only ones embarrassed.

I was shocked when I received my gas bill from 2nd October to 27 November $1226 . Well I made a complaint that I have never had such a high bill before, the reply back from this guy. This is a actual meter read & it's surprising how easy it is to use a lot of gas & said to send him a pic of my meter, I did end him but unfortunately my meter was replaced with a new one. I complained again & told them to go back & check my previous bills also told them to locate my old gas meter and send me a pic of the reading, they located it last Friday and the lady said there had been an error from the distributer and she will send me the new bill on Monday , Well I received it yesterday $142.00

I met my friends brother years ago. He couldn't say the letter 'r' as well.
The cartoon character Elmer Fudd must have made an positive impact on him as he was quite the chatterbox.
