I am looking forward to completing notes/story on my Great Great Grandfather, a MAD Irish convict from Dublin who was sent out to Tassie in 1843. I need to complete my notes and put him to rest...but somehow he will still remain in my thoughts alot and drive me crazy! Family tree can be exciting and time consuming, but very addictive and a jigsaw puzzle searching for the missing pieces!
That sounds amazing, your life here is all because your relative from Dublin was a convict. There must be so much history to uncover, imagine what life was like for these folks back then. Wow

I made a mistake signing up for $49.00 12 monthly $1000.00 draw and the $49.00 was withdrawn from my city bank ready credit card could you refund back to my credit card thankyou Victor Taiaroa
How was it a mistake, you would have had to fill out a form with your banking details to buy the subscription, as far as i'm concerned it's your fault.
But try emailing admin instead of putting it in here!

After working for over 50 years finally going to retire at the end of June.
Our intention is to travel & live overseas for 6 months of the year & then 6 months in Australia.
Basically start to enjoy life & have a well deserved rest.
Make sure U check with Centerlink if you recieve any benefits. As a pensioner I am only allowed to be overseas for up to six weeks then all benefits stop! I have heard Australia is the only Commonwealth Country to do so! This Labor Gov must GO!! Enjoy Ur retirement U 2! Happey New Year 2025. Regards Phil

G’day Blue,
I have decided to do the very best for my body by walking everyday for 30 minutes & by doing so, improve my happiness & capacities.
I know it doesn’t seem like much but having broken my back in the Army 36 years ago, & losing the use of a lung from Covid in 2022, I struggle with breathlessness when being active & sciatica plagues me almost permanently.
There’s a very true saying: “Use it or lose it” & I see many elderly here with those mobility scooters. …….. Not if I can help it Blue!…. & I can!!!!

Happy New Year to all of you. I hope my wife and I have a improvment in 2025.
over the period of 2 plus years, she broke her arm, got diagnosed with breast cancer, broke her elbo , the same arm, cracked a vertebrae and during a colonoscopy the surgeon exidently perferated her bowel. She now is mobile only with the help of a wheel walker.
You will agree with me we are due for some improvement?
May you and your wife feel blessed and loved inv2025.

I hope that 2025 can bring good things for all of us, after 2 trying years with my husband’s ongoing health problems surely it’s time for things to settle, but if not, then we’re all good at getting on with it. I would love to see the wars overseas to end & people trying harder to get on with others.
Happy New Year everyone.

I feel for you, I suffer from breathlessness and shocking sciatica daily, the only thing iv'e found for the latter is two full strength Brufen and a valium along with it, the valium to help me relax.
I also suffer from restless legs.

How exciting for you in regards to your Great Great Grandfather.
I have a First Fleeter in my family tree.
His name was James Bloodsworth and he was on my mothers side of the family.
He is credited to doing a lot of the building work in Sydney.
Something strange though, he was offered a trip back to England and refused, he married another convict and they had seven kids.
That seven kids seems to be the norm in my family, my own mother had seven, her mother had seven, my niece had seven and a long line of the other woman in my family had seven. I had seven pregnancies but I lost five of them due to miscarriages and one neo natal death, but there's that seven again.

"In 1788 he was taken to Australia in the First Fleet in the Charlotte and was immediately appointed master bricklayer in the settlement at Sydney Cove. Since there were no architects in the fleet he was largely responsible for the design and the erection of Australia's first buildings, although the army and navy officers in the settlement had some knowledge of architecture."

My goodness Deni, I complain about my minor restless legs when it happens. So many people have so many nasty health problems that I feel luck. I do have (treated) high blood pressure, asthma & am prone to headaches and of course arthritis but nothing that can’t be managed. I hope everyone can manage to get a bit of comfort this year.
