For anyone that is planing pregnancy

- Duration: On average, the cycle lasts about 28 days, but can vary from 21 to 35 days depending on the woman. The cycle is divided into three main phases.

- Menstrual phase: Lasts about 5 days. This is the time of menstruation when blood leaves the vagina. The uterus rids itself of the unfertilized uterine lining.

- Follicular phase: Lasts about 14 days after the end of menstruation. This is the phase when a follicle in the ovary matures and releases an egg. Ovulation occurs around day 14.

- Luteal phase: Lasts approximately 14 days after ovulation. If the ovum is not fertilized, hormone levels drop, triggering a new menstrual period.

- Ovulation: This is the release of an egg from an ovary around the 14th day of the cycle. This is the only time when a woman can potentially become pregnant if intercourse takes place.

- Symptoms before and during menstruation: Stomach ache, tender breasts, mood swings, fatigue, etc.

- Irregularities: Can occur at certain ages or in the event of health problems. If in doubt, consult a doctor.
