Food to avoid if you have high blood pressure
Many people, despite taking medications and remedies, still have high or unstable blood pressure simply because of their diet.
What foods should you avoid or limit!?
SALT
Foods high in salt increase blood pressure. It is therefore important to avoid salty foods such as chips, deli meats, canned soups, marinades, sauces and prepared foods.
PROCESSED FOODS
Processed foods are often high in salt, saturated fat and sugars. It is therefore best to avoid prepared meals, sandwiches, pizzas, snacks and industrial baked goods.
RED MEAT
Excessive consumption of red meat can increase blood pressure due to its high saturated fat content. It is therefore recommended to limit the consumption of red meat and favor lean meats such as chicken and turkey.
FOODS RICH IN SATURATED FATS
Saturated fats found in full-fat dairy products, full-fat cheeses, butter, pastries and fatty meats can contribute to high blood pressure. It is therefore advisable to limit their consumption.
SWEET FOODS
Sugary foods like soft drinks, processed fruit juices and sugary desserts can cause weight gain and increase blood pressure. It is best to avoid them or consume them in moderation.
THE ALCOHOL
Excessive alcohol consumption can cause an increase in blood pressure. It is therefore recommended to limit or completely avoid its consumption.
