Don't forget there were 2 pain reliever groups. BEX as well as the Vincents. Certain people I knew almost went to war over arguing which was better for you. Well, much has changed since then, maybe?
 
Yes, we had one in a metal carry case. I used to like looking through it at all the little bottles and packages. Most of the time my dad just went for the good old metho to put on everything!
 
Mum used Reckitts blue when rinsing the laundry.Good old addictive Bex for headaches.I remember the old saying....Show me your palm Olive (palmolive)....Not on your life boy!(lifebuoy)
 
l remember compress's which really worked to draw out infections. ln the box was a pad and some ointment that was put on the pad and heated till very hot then applied to the infection for about three days
