Fact of the Day: Why was CCTV invented?​

In present times, most buildings and homes are now equipped with CCTV cameras… But how did this tech marvel come about?

The first CCTV was developed by Walter Bruch in Germany.

However, it was not made for security purposes.

Instead, it was utilised to monitor V2 rocket launches. It provided much-needed visuals on the rockets while avoiding danger.
