If you’ve been meaning to treat yourself out for a nice dinner, this is the perfect time to push through with your plans as a new batch of free dining vouchers is back for another economy-boosting round. The catch is that currently, only one state will offer it to its residents.
Every person in Victoria can now receive up to $125 worth of dining vouchers per person. The giveaway is available from September 19 until December 16. However, the promotion will end sooner if the $25 million budget is used up earlier than expected. So be quick!
Although Victoria's Dining and Entertainment vouchers can be used in a variety of ways, state Premier Daniel Andrews mentioned that one choice is especially popular.
'If the claims from the last round of vouchers are anything to go by, we're about to have a run on dumplings!’ he said about the vouchers, which can be used any day of the week.

The voucher provides 25 per cent off your total order when spending $40 or more in a participating dining and entertainment establishment.
You can make multiple claims using the voucher for dining and entertainment until you reach a total of $125 cash back.
Food courts, fast food outlets, juice bars, kiosks, food trucks and canteens are among the many that are eligible to take part in the scheme. The entertainment outlets involved in the program include cinemas, theatres, exhibitions, museums, zoos, amusement parks, and many more.
Industry Recovery and Support Minister Ben Carroll said that the vouchers will help improve Victoria's post-COVID economic recovery.
'Whether it's booking a table for lunch or heading to a live music event, this cash-back program puts money back into people's pockets and supports hardworking businesses across Victoria.’ Mr Carroll stated.
'It will also help build business and consumer confidence while supporting jobs and boosting the state's economy.'

When the vouchers were first introduced in Victoria last year, a whopping $32 million was used in three months.
Despite what Mr Andrews said about dumplings, the biggest number of claims came from movie tickets and the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play.
Major Events Minister Steve Dimopolous is hoping that the second batch of vouchers will be just as successful.
'With a blockbuster summer of major events upon us, we're providing Victorians even more reasons to get out and enjoy everything the state has to offer – while saving money and supporting local businesses.’ he said.
Mr Andrews announced the giveaway on Twitter, writing: 'Get your mates together and book it in. 25 per cent is on us.'
With the state election coming up in March, the NSW government will be keeping an eagle eye on how this latest round of handouts in Victoria will turn out.
