I think people write comments you do not like as you send an article for diabetics and there are a few items that should not be in there . Too many people say “ just in Moderation “, but that does not mean anything . Some people are trying to put you in the right direction .
I worked a lot with diabetic people as A Renal Dialysis R.N. And about 80% of our clients were diabetic and they been seen by a clinical dietitian on a weekly base . So when you’re a diabetic , you have a much greater change to get cardiac , vascular and renal failure . Just think about that , it is not a nice lifestyle to sit in a chair for up to 4 hours and get 3 times a week big needles inserted by a specialised RN to have your blood cleaned by a dialysis machine.
Maybe you should get a referral from your doctor to see a clinical dietitian, so you understand what kind of food is suitable .
By the way Monkfruit is available at the supermarket , I have seen it at Coles and Woollies . Not cheap , also available online.

It wasn't me who asked about monk fruit.

I have been to a diabetic dietician and all berries are good for Diabetics also full of antioxidants.

Low Fat greek yoghurt is also good I was told berries and low fat greek yoghurt makes a great breakfast

I was also told a little honey is ok as hubby likes honey on toast.
This recipe has 3 teaspoons of honey = 1 1/2 per person.

That's an interesting background. How many decades ago was that?

After reading about Monk Fruit I say give me sugar any day .

Perhaps the best example is cyclamate, which was banned in the UK in the late 1960s for having links to some types of cancer. It was, however, re-approved a decade later – though it remains banned in the US. For the same reason, monk fruit remains banned in the UK, though it is legal in many countries.25 Aug 2022

sugar replacement called erythritol — used to add bulk or sweeten stevia, monkfruit and keto reduced-sugar products — has been linked to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death, according to a study.27 Feb 2023

Erythritol provides volume and texture, making Splenda Monk Fruit easier to use. Learn more about erythritol by reading the International Food Information Council's overview .

So in one hand they say Monk fruit is good for you then they say it's banned in the UK and causes blood clots, heart attacks and strokes

@Maddison Dwyer please see the comments, some nasty one's where people are calling pigs here. 3 pages of them here
No Petra you are causing it all and stiring the pot. I wished I could block you from viewing my post. Why do you not just ignore my post if they bother you rather than making negative comments . It's all on you . Why post that wheel , their is nothing wrong with the recipe

It often happens to be fixated with diabetes.
It's becoming a killjoy for me, and hesitant to post recipes.
Unlike popular opinion, Dietitians do deal with a gamut of diets.
That's who I personally take notice of.

Petra you need to becareful what you post and how you reply . It's just short of bullying .

You don't know what people are going through and YOUR comments can be hurtful.

I for one suffer severe depression and anxiety and I'm trying to get on top of it with the help of my psychologist and meds. Never suffered it before but after surgery going wrong it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Your insults and stalking isn't helping this.

My outlet is cooking probably the only thing I can do

I never say the recipes are mine , most are recipes either I find on line or a friend or relative send me and in that case have no idea where it came from.

Every recipe I post are recipes I have tried and we love and in that case want to share with others hoping this will help them . Often I do change the recipes which is also OK.

I've told my family about you and a couple of others and they said just to close my account , the only thing ATM is there are alot of people on here that I really like and like that much that if I could I would invite them to dinner including the staff of SDC who also cop of unacceptable slack.

I will ask my psychologist on Thursday if closing my account is the best thing to do or should I just ignore you.

I'm pretty thick skin but I am writing this to tell you to stop doing what you are doing because others might end take your bullying so well

Warm Regards

Suzanne

Ps
and that's my real name
