The original recipe called for only 2 tablespoon of cream but didn't pull the ingredients together and was really dry , so I added more and it was perfect.

I've used this recipe for years! It has never failed, and everyone thinks I'm a master baker hahaha! You can also add dates or raisins for a fruity scone, but our favorite add-ins are cheese and herbs for that savory flavor 🥲

Do you use extra cream like Suzanne?

Yes, but just enough to pull the dough together as Suzanne advised. If adding extra flavorings, you can add a dash of milk if the dough is a bit dry :)

How much cream do you put ? I found that in original recipe 2 tablespoons were not enough and I added 3/4 cup which was perfect

Yes, the same as you Suzanne :) I've also made larger batches using 4 cups S.R. flour, 3 eggs, and 1 cup of cream. Works a treat if you want to freeze batches for later ;)
