We have a hand held bidet/sprayer. It is more hygienic to wash after using the bathroom. It cleans the toilet too which is more hygienic than a toilet brush. About $29 from Bunnings/EBay and easy to install. Still use toilet paper for drying. Cloth NOOO!

Well we used cloth nappies for the kids. I remember trialing one of the disposable ones in Wagga and then got asked at a Southport shopping centre if I'd like to try the new thing. Guy was a bit miffed I already knew about them. Also even earlier ladies used reusable sanitary pads. I can't see any real problem if we had a shortage of toilet paper. Just need to use the old nappy san in a bucket to clean them. Or even laundry detergent and tea tree or eucalyptus oil. A lot of what we turn our noses up to is old ideas that are now supposedly outdated but still can be useful in an emergency situation

This is a great idea we have a bidet and dry with paper. I’ve thought of using hand towels but these are good. In Thailand all toilets have bidet. Most don’t have anything to dry.

What should be encouraged to be brought back is the Toweling Nappies. Those disposable ones are totally disgusting and are left in toilets, on the ground in the Parks where people, eat and kids play, on the side of the roads where they have been tossed out of windows and they are a major Dump fill. Toweling nappies where always sanitized and washed before you placed them on your baby, never any bad rashes like they have with disposables. This lady is definitely on the right track as all our personal bits are cleaned by the Bidet prior to wiping, no different that when you get out of the shower and dry your personal bits with your towel, hey, do you throw that away after each shower.
