In the last few days I have had 3 emails saying that they have received payments in my name. I have never had a PayPal account and have heard about scams supposedly from them. No transactions on my bank accounts at all.

Sounds like the scammer took straight from your account not paypal. Sounds very strange ,you would think the bank would have sent it to paypal

I had something very similar take place a couple of years from EBay relating to an item I had not ordered. The seller, through my Ebay account demanded payment. Naturally, Ebay was contacted and the matter was resolved. Clearly, the seller was 'barking up the wrong tree' .... Dodgy claim?? not sure ..... as expressed in previous posts, stay vigilant folks!
