DO NOT PAY ALLIANZ – ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE INVOICE AUTOMATICALLY.
I have my car insurance through Allianz. On my invoice in June 2023 they included a note saying that Allianz is decommissioning the “Roadside Assistance membership at no additional cost benefit” within the Car Insurance Product. This was okay with me as I have been with the RACQ (Qld automobile club) all my life.
Last week I received an invoice from Allianz – Roadside Assistance for $99 saying “it’s time to renew your roadside assistance”.
I feel that this is misleading, and some people could pay this invoice thinking it is a regular invoice they have been paying. There is no explanation on the paperwork to say that this replaces the free roadside assistance on the previous invoice. I think most people would be a member of their state’s automobile club.
The invoice arrived a week before the normal car insurance invoice. Look out for this if you have an existing membership with an automobile club DO NOT PAY the invoice unless you are changing your alliance.
