Discover the terrifying truth about these strange 'tiny marks' on public bathroom toilet paper!

The next time you visit a public restroom, look more closely at the innocent-looking white tissue paper.

There might be a terrifying truth hiding on the toilet paper disguised as tiny red marks.

People have been alerted to this little-known danger after a stern warning was issued on social media by a user named Dane Jones—the video has now been viewed a whopping 8.5 million times.

Jones captioned the video with 'Share this with family friends, it could save their [lives]!' and shared a picture of a toilet roll with tiny pinpricks on it.

In the video, he revealed that the small indents were made by drug users who were using the public restroom to clean off their needles—a process that would leave a few drops of their blood on the tissue paper.

'If your toilet paper looks like this in a public restroom you need to get out as fast as possible,' he said.

'If you look closely you will see a bunch of tiny red blood splotches. That is not from someone's bloody nose or little accident.'

'It's from someone cleaning their needles—dirty needles to be exact.

'We don't know if this was one person or multiple people cleaning their needles from injecting drugs.'

This could put anyone who came into contact with the tissue at risk of contracting a lifelong virus such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C or Hepatitis B.

'Keep in mind if you are using this toilet paper to clean yourself, all it takes is one tiny drop of blood to enter your system.'

Explaining further, Jones quoted statistics and said that one out of 300 workers accidentally stuck with a needle from someone with HIV gets infected.

However, the odds of contracting Hepatitis B could be as high as one in three if the worker has not been vaccinated.

'It's just really sad to see public restrooms being used as a cleaning place for people's dirty needles,' he said.

'With that said, if you do see a toilet paper roll that looks like this in a public restroom, notify the staff immediately to have it replaced and stay as far away as you can from it,' Jones concluded.

His revelation left viewers stunned with one saying: 'This is my sign to never use public toilet tissue again.'

'Thank you for this good information,' another added.

While a third said: 'New fear unlocked.'

'Be safe out there!' A fourth said.

Additional Health Risks Found in Public Restrooms

Public restrooms undoubtedly pose a variety of health risks, some of which are obvious, while others are subtle yet potentially damaging. Below are additional health hazards lurking in public toilets that can equally put your health in jeopardy.

Unsettlingly, researchers have identified harmful bacteria such as E.coli, streptococcus, and staphylococcus residing on various surfaces in public restrooms. These common bacterial strains can cause skin infections, urinary tract infections, and even the deadly MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a strain that's impervious to many commonly used antibiotics.

Moreover, these microbes aren't contained to just the toilet seats or handles. Did you know that the air in public bathrooms isn't truly clean either? Every time a toilet is flushed, it creates a phenomenon known as 'toilet plume', wherein tiny droplets are sprayed into the air, carrying bacteria and viruses up to ten feet away!

To combat these unseen enemies, good hygiene practices are crucial. Regular hand washing, carrying personal wipes and sanitising sprays can go a long way in minimising the risks.

Additionally, being wary and avoiding obvious signs of uncleanliness, such as dirty floors, rubbish spillage, and tiny needle pinpricks on toilet paper rolls, can help ensure your health is not compromised.

Key Takeaways
  • One social media user from the US named Dane Jones issued a stark warning on social media about tiny pinpricks often seen on public restroom toilet paper.
  • He revealed that these marks are made by drug users cleaning off their needles, raising concerns about the potential transmission of diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C.
  • The video has been viewed more than 6.7 million times, prompting widespread surprise and concern amongst viewers.
  • Dane urged anyone who sees toilet paper with these indents in a public restroom to alert staff and avoid using it.

That is great information, who‘d ever think of that?
Truly disgusting but one would think that after some time the viruses
would be dried and dead but better safe than sorry.
I’ve never seen open toilet roll holders!

Thank you for the info , why put other people at risk? You should not re-use needles and because they do obviously , why not remove a bit of toilet paper from the holder and wipe it on that before it is flushed in the toilet.
If they stick themselves with the used needle , at least it is their own body fluids.

The thing is those rolls are usually covered up with a lift up lid so who ever looks in there, I haven't been.

. I rarely do more than use the urinal, but I cannot believe they would be so F*%^4n irresponsible.
Luckily Canberra is legalizing heroin amphetamines and cocaine for home use this October.

They already have legalized Marijuana for home use in the ACT and people can evidently even grow pot in ACT backyards.

So once every druggy in Australia hears that our leadership have evidently decided to Party like the Americans, and yet in every other Australian state arrest/or fine young teenage backpackers for having a joint at a rock festival swamped with Alcohol, it'll change.

All of the Druggies will be in Canberra and the drug effected toilet paper issue could be resolved, and instead it'll be in the sewerage system, waste managed and flushed out to sea and forgotten... problem solved.. .NOT

EXACTLY. Another social media user seeking attention. And it looks like he's getting the attention he's seeking.🤔 Let's not panic, let's just be careful and mindful if you choose to use public toilets. I try not too if I can help it,but I do know that there are some people who don't have that choice so I get that as well. There's just a couple of things in that story that don't make sense.
1 How does he know for sure that it's blood on the toilet paper. Was this ever verified.?
2 Did he get the toilet paper tested?
3 He said the marks are from " junkies cleaning needles "but the position of the dents doesn't make sense for this to happen.
4 Did he get forensic evidence to support his claims before he decided to go on line and put this story out there.?

Don't get me wrong,if this story turns out to be true, then that is just totally disgusting but then again does it suprise me.? NO. Some humans are capable of doing some atrocious things.🙁😔

I like your analytical mind... it makes sense that a druggy would shove a syringe in and make a dent instead of little specks. The worlds a funny place now so many people playing tasteless pranks possibly because they have limited life skills, no social conscience and as theirs bugger all accountability we have to be careful Australia doesn't follow the American Model.

Major Department stores like k-mart, Woolworths, etc, used to promote gangland America clothing with the bloods, the crips etc insignia on sale. Thats true. Do you know you can get just about every American state or city and their emblem. But if you want to get a N.S.W t-shirt of something with Australia or a kangaroo etc, on it. You'd have to either go to a tourist gift shop or get something online.

Watch out we don't ignore those that would like to turn the streets of Sydney into what New York streets of Philadelphia streets look like (google if you don't know what I mean) so I hope that should a place be identified that has these marks that CCTV cameras are (DISCRETLY INSTALLED) and that the police either stop them or move them to the ACT...

Most public toilets these days have toilet paper inside metal containers which are really not accessible to anyone wanting to stick needles into the rolls. Older public toilets and council ones in parks etc probable haven’t caught up with the times yet.

I'm a typical Libran.⚖️😃😄😆😉
And you are spot on about Australia being careful NOT to follow America's examples and yes, I have seen the streets of Philadelphia not literally but on the media etc. Very sad.😔And I believe Elizabeth Street in Melbourne's CBD has become quite an unsafe place to visit as well. And Wow! Funny you should say that about Kmart. I was in there last week and you're so right about a lot of their T-shirts, Windcheaters, etc have American Insignia on them ie American Cars(Chevy's etc),American Cartoon Characters (Tom & Jerry etc) American Rock Bands( Kiss etc) American States( Nevada etc) and so on. And like you mentioned, so if I want a T-shirt with a kangaroo, koala etc on it or an Australian state etc then it looks like I'll have to go to a tourist gift shop or buy them offline etc. Just doesn't seem right does it??🤔 And do you remember a few years back now when some public toilets used to have the ultra violet lights in them?? Apparently,it was to deter drug users from shooting up in public toilets as the ultra violet light made it hard for the users to find a vein. I think it may have been a trial run of sorts.🤔 I think these days it would take more than just an ultra violet light to stop drug addicts/ users etc.🙁

I'm a typical Libran too and yep what is said is true. Australia is close to following the same path, it starts off with homelessness and people having to sleep on park benches on footpaths in shop entrances under bridges and inside derelict buildings because politicians too busy with long lunches in extremely well-appointed restaurants have scant regard for the issues of a Nation.

And then the trouble starts festering into street crime. There's nothing to be done but give them all another big pay rise and hope somehow it all goes away. There most certainly doesn't seem to be the political will to do anything about it. A good measurement with a national crisis once identified is to insert an iron CSG pipe off cut in concrete, in a designated public area for all to see. Each iron pipe off cut has a iron plaque describing the issue. The object is simple. We merely observe if the pipe rusts or decays away or is removed before the issue is resolved. It could make for quite an artistic spectacle. The oxidization of all of the pipes over time could create quite an appeal.

I have traveled quite a bit to different countries in the world and bought clothing from those countries like Canada , USA and UK and they were all made in those countries and guess what , I have been to China (pre Covid ) and bought a shirt with a Panda and made in China , maybe I could have bought it in AU and also made in China . But the shirt bought in China was made of good quality , if you buy it in AU you probably get a cheap version .We should have a lot more products here and made in AU , although it would be more expensive. Dick Smith has tried that , but it did not survive. Also K-mart has this last Australia Day refused to sell any Australian products , since then my husband refuses to shop at K-mart.

Oh,a fellow Libran.⚖️😄 And I agree with all that you say in your msg and in regards to the pipes, I think we'd be watching them rust and erode and definitely NONE removed because the issue has been resolved.
As Darryl Kerrigan said in the movie The Castle " Tell em there dreaming"😃😄.
P:s Great movie by the way,not everys one cup of tea of course, but I liked it.😊

Yes,I can imagine that story would make you and others who may have a medical condition and need to inject their medications etc very angry and I don't blame you. And I can imagine that most public toilets block do have their toilet paper in containers now. 🤔
