Dirty sneakers? Transform them using this $3 Bunnings buy!

It seems that the rainy season is upon us once again, folks!

We bet everyone here will agree when we say that wearing a soaking wet pair of shoes is never a good feeling. If you have been caught by the rain, we recommend that you take off your shoes as soon as you get home, or else you might be at risk of a fungal infection (yuck!).

But before you leave your shoes at the door or put them in storage, it's important that you properly clean and dry them as well. Mud, grime, and excessive moisture can permanently damage their colour and texture, shortening their overall lifespan (plus, they make your shoes look worn out and ugly!).

Here in this article, an Aussie mum is sharing with us a "miracle" cleaning hack for our beloved sneakers.

And the best part? It's pretty affordable and can be found in your local Bunnings!

Sharing on a popular Facebook group, the mum revealed that she uses Glitz Sugar Soap Spray Foam from Bunnings to clean her children's dirty shoes.

Available for only $3.29, the sugar soap spray is marketed as a ready-to-use high-performing cleaning formula that can be used to remove tough stains, dirt, grease and grime around your home.

And based on the amazing results the mum shared on her Facebook post, it seems like the cleaning foam can also make your shoes look as "good as new".

In a before-and-after photo posted to the page, the mum showed the dramatic transformation of her child's muddy sneakers after using the spray foam.

"So I sprayed them up and grabbed a Huggies baby wipe to just test the waters and to my amazement (and prayers answered), it came up good as new!" she said.

"It was almost too easy to do," she added that the spray foam works great for shoelaces too.

The mother's post quickly went viral, with thousands of Facebook users vowing to try the hack themselves. Many commenters praised the mother for her discovery, with one writing: "Can’t wait to try this!"

"OMG fantastic! Thank you so much for this post!! My husband is a Vans obsessed man and he is always soaking them or putting them in our washing machine," said a second user.

The next time you come home with muddy shoes, don't reach for the bleach – grab a can of Glitz Sugar Soap Spray Foam instead and give it a try. You may be surprised by the results!

This "miracle" has been happening for a very long time.... It is an extraordinary thing......
When are we ever going to accept that just because someone has "turned their little light on" and noticed something that has been happening for ages whilst they have been sleeping and oblivious to the world, that it has not now just become a "hack" or a "miracle" or "extraordinary".

I don't wear sneakers any more as I need need to wear proper leather shoes due to diabetes. However I will be passing this info on to the kids as they are always buying runners.:)

I don’t wear sneakers 👟 due to being a diabetic. I do have an expensive pair from athlete’s foot I haven’t worn since early last year. But, I wouldn’t go to all this trouble to clean them. I would use laundry wash bags per shoe and laundry washing pods and nappisan to help get them clean in the washing machine. I didn’t know there was sneaker soap etc.
