Who had a pair of desert boots in the ‘60s? They were everywhere—from kids on scooters to laid-back students trying to look effortlessly cool. They were usually worn with pegged jeans and fluorescent pink or green socks. Do you remember slipping them on before a big night out? Share your memories here.

I had a pair in olive suede with a sole like an exaggerated saw tooth shape & in NZ they were affectionately known as brothel creepers. This was late 50s - early 60s.

In South Africa they were known as "Vellies" and worn with our summer military uniform during the Angolan Bush War.
