Who had a pair of desert boots in the ‘60s? They were everywhere—from kids on scooters to laid-back students trying to look effortlessly cool. I remember guys wearing them in high school in the 70s mostly surfer dudes

I had a pair in olive suede with a sole like an exaggerated saw tooth shape & in NZ they were affectionately known as brothel creepers. This was late 50s - early 60s.

Remember the ripple soles. Same upper, different sole. Very comfy.

In South Africa they were known as "Vellies" and worn with our summer military uniform during the Angolan Bush War.

We wore "DB's" - Desert boots in winter and JC's - sandels as part of our school uniform in the late 70's
