Your mum was right. But sadly didn't do me any goodMy mum always maintained that “us kids” would wear only “good” sturdy shoes. She said feet are the foundation of the body.
Oh Vicki how awful for you ! l wear mens slippers as l have broad feet perhaps slippers might help youGee this person was very lucky. My mum put me in Clarks shoes as a child and l am certain my parents really could not afford them either. Sadly made no difference. Got to the age of 28 and down hill feet wise from there. Expensive orthotics which l cannot walk without, expensive lace up shoes needed. Constant pain crippled toes. You just get what you get in the gene pool. This person is very lucky to be able to buy theses orthotics and wear thongs which are not flat. You name it l have had every problem with feet you can have. My feet are as flat as pancakes toes cross over bunions every problems your feet can have. Done the exercises blah blah. No luck
Like l say you get what you get in the gene pool
Happy walking
Kind regards to all Vicki
I have only just recently began this feeling in both feet....probably because I don't wear any footwear at home and only a pair of old thongs when I go out which is not very often....
I don't like standing for long periods nor can I walk terribly far due to some serious back problems that I have had after falling down some stairs at home about 17 years ago. Anyway I will follow this advice from Dr Al and get what he has recommended.![]()

What a good child you were. Most likely mum could not afford to replace your shoes so you improvised. Kids today have no idea.My sister and l wore good shoes which got soled and heeled at the cobblers when needed but l do remember once having a big hole in the sole and cutting out a piece of cardboard the shape of the shoe to fit in and cover it. l didn't say anything to my mother at the time
On darling.got wear my lace up shoes to keep me a bit more stable. Slippers only at night before bed. To easy to fall over in slippers. You just have to put one screamingOh Vicki how awful for you ! l wear mens slippers as l have broad feet perhaps slippers might help you
Please find a good podiatrist it will change your life. Thongs are not good. You might have to wear a pair of firm shoes.I have only just recently began this feeling in both feet....probably because I don't wear any footwear at home and only a pair of old thongs when I go out which is not very often....
